Want to know if there is away to return the tv to its factory settings
===================================================
Hi
I'm afraid, there is no way to return back firmware update to its previous version.
Only way is to replace main board of TV.
Thanks.
so is there a reason why it has done i can't work out why a xbox 360 update would do this
thanks

Let me know where did you got Xbox 360 firmware update for TV?
Did you got it from Samsung Support or some third party website?
(your post shows TV model LA19R71B Samsung)
Thanks.

Hi,
It sounds like one or more of the GPU connections has a bad connection.
This means it is very close to dying from the 3 lights of death. Your
unit needs to be serviced by professional.
If you got that while playing it sounds like its your GPU melting...
when the older xbox360s get hot the circuit starts to warp and sag in
the middle.. the causes the GPU to seperate from the board which gives
you wierd or no graphics... ppl suggest "the towel trick" wrapping you
xbox in a towel to overheat it in hopes it will reconnect the GPU..
otherwise there is very little you can do.. just hope MS will repair it
for you or buy a new one.. ..
You can try few tricks :-
To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, follow these steps:
1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
2. Turn the console off.
3. Turn the console on.
Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn the console on by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller.
Note Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this.
The player 1 controller is the controller where the upper-left quadrant
light is on.
4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull
the right trigger at the same time. This causes the Xbox Dashboard to
reset the display settings to the default settings and then
automatically restarts the console. So it's OK when the Xbox 360
console restarts.
If problem still persists , call Microsoft at :-

Thanks .
