I recently bought a sandisk micro SD card for my LG CU 500 i tried to put info on it in the computer and now the phone keeps saying 'card not ready'.
Type 277634# * # (no spaces)
click port setting
click mass storage
click mass storage remove
go back to main screen and check again for memory
if this doesnt work,take out memory card and try without the memory card.

What is the capacity of your SD card? Some phone don't recognize a 4gb or 2gb, it's better to use 1gb SD card. Try to buy a memory card reader, put the SD card there and plug it on USB port to test if your SD card is working..

I bought a 1 GB and inserted into my phone and it said card not ready but what got mine to work was you have to go to the main menu select 1 (Cingular Music) then select 1 (Music Player) and then select 3 (Shuffle Songs) and then it should recognize the memory card. Thats how i got mine to work. Hope it helps you.

Lg CU500 does not support micro sd large than 1 gig.

Ok well a solution let me say this if it did work at a tie but all of a sudden it is not it is maybe because u put it into ur computer and just pulled it out without letting it load up which mess it up basically destroyed ur files so wat u do is put it in ur phone it will come up as not anything there go to memory settings choose card then format it will work again but all ur data will be gone

The only way that my daughter had gotton hers to work was to find a computer that has a slot for the scan disc and up load the music to it first then put t back into the phone and it had worked

I have a LG Shine i guess its the CU750 or somthing like that. I was getting messages like Card not ready. I found that if I pushed the card farther in with a butter knife the card finally was able to be read.

I have had my phone for 8 months and i bought a 1 GB micro SD( by Lexar) card for it and it has been acting up lately. Everytime i try to listen to the music i put on it, the phone keeps turning off. It acknowledges that the memory card is inserted but everytime i try to look at my pictures, rigntones/ music, and videos the phone is always turning off.
and now it does not even acknowledge that the Micro SD has been inserted.
what should i do?
I have the same problem!! I bought the memory card and it wouldn't even acknowledge that the card was in the phone! By now I have a new phone because it has been awhile, but I'd still like to use a memory card in that phone on some occasions...
I bought a i gig card and put in and got messade that card not ready how do i get it to work. but i put my wife 512 gig card in my phone and it works.
Yep same prob but no one seems to really know how to help. I guess there is some type of code that you are able to punch in.
i got a SD card and it a 2 GB card but it keeps on saying that "card not ready"
i selected the option 'remove' from the memory card folder before removing the memory card out of my phone lg kg300..but now after reinserting the card my phone is not reading the card..kindly help
if you actually get it working then you can save a picture to it that you've taken and if you put that picture for a person then it'll save so you can call them if it says the card isn't ready, so yeah
I Have a LG CU500 , My MP3s were working perfectly, and suddenly just keep telling me " card not ready ". I have a 512mb and a 1gb card and still
none of them work now.... I was told this phone can handle only the 512mb
card, maybe that's why a lot of people is having this problem. Like I told you before, my 512 worked good ...
