WAP54G bricked power led blinking LAN connection shows as not connected

you did not specify where the wap is connected when you pinged it. Try this, connect the wap54g to your pc. Assign static ip on the lan of the pc, then ping if you can ping you should be able to access the configuration page. if the power is still blinking you can upgrade the firmware

WAP4400N access

Do you have a DHCP server, like on your router, or on another computer on your LAN ?

If you don't know if you have a dhcp server or not... in windows, you can go to: Start>run>cmd, then type: ipconfig /all
That will tell you what ip address your dhcp server is.

If so do you see the access point trying to get an address? Check your logs, if you have a DHCP server chances are the access point (AP) already has an address.

Another thing you can do, is hold... i think it is a red button in the back, if you hold it for 30 seconds i think.. it will reset your AP back to its default settings.
