SOURCE: ZUNE 30GB Zune Music... Problem

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

SOURCE: Microsoft Zune flashing screen

The Zune flashes like that because it doesn't get any supporting power from the battery. Power from the USB cord is not enough to fire it up, usually a battery replacement will get it up and running again. There is a zune repair guide online that shows how to replace the battery.

SOURCE: I have Zune 30GB mp3 player. When I try to charge it using computer or wall charger, it tries to turn on and makes some clicking sound and turns off again. It does it repeatedly but can not charge it.

the zune does this if the battery doesn't work (needs a charged battery to power on). battery is either defective or disconnected. there is a zune repair guide that shows you how to fix it

SOURCE: 30gb zune only has black screen

Try these ideas first, except calling for service since it's out of the warranty: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931912. If this doesn't work then, you'll have to erase all the content on your Zune through the buttons on it and use the Zune software to restore the firmware and getting it to boot again. If this doesn't work, then the hard drive may be bad in the Zune and will need to be replaced. If the hard drive is bad, you'll usually hear a lot of repetitive clicking. I hope this helps.

If you have not erased the MP3 files on the Zune, you should still have them on the Zune and can play these MP3 music files.
When you plug your Zune into the computer can you see the MP3 files on the Zune as an external drive on the computer?
If so you can copy the MP3 files back into your computer.

Hi, This could be issue with the software on your ipod...

1st Try this out
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Problem with zune player

It may be due to Non-safe removal of Zune device from PC during transfer of files.you may have deleted some music from your PC hard disk, which you tranfered omay be only the fake song/album file or artwork.check whether the file u trying to play is available in your pc.if you have downloaded directly to Zune then try again.

Not able to download songs

well first of all, I suggest that,, convert first the song or video that you have downloaded from other sites, it's file type maybe such as FLV file,, or flash video file,, convert it to WMV, WMA, or MP3 then after converting it, try to drag it to your collections then right click sync, then,, I think that would be the time that it will be saved unto your Zune Device,, Note:,, Zune only supports file types such as WMV, WMA, MP3, and JPG,, SO be sure to convert the file first to any of those supported files so that it will automatically be saved unto your Zune Device,, if you have more questions,, just email me at,, ynchausti07@hotmail.com
