I had AAA open my car door to get keys I had locked in the car and as soon as I started the car the antilock ABS and the traction control began to beep, then service stability begin to come on on the instrument panel. I had just had it serviced less than a week before this happened. I thought opening the car without the key had triggered something to cause this. Can I fix this wihout having to pay again to have it scanned?

Front bearings replaced on 08 grand prix gxp. Soon as car starts ABS, Traction, stabilizer and variable effort steering lights come on. What happened to make them all come on?

Most likely reason, IMO, would be an antilock brake sensor(s) or wiring that was damaged or re-installed improperly when the bearings were replaced. If there's no signal from a sensor, that definitely triggers ABS and traction control warnings -- and probably the others, too. If the bearings were replaced by an auto repair place, make them fix it. It's OK to drive the car -- the regular brakes will still work properly, but you won't have the antilock function or traction control.

Can you help with multiple electrical issues??

This vehicle is equipped with the BOSCH 5.3 antilock braking system.
The vehicle is equipped with the following braking systems:
• Antilock Brake System (ABS)
• Dynamic Rear Proportioning (DRP)
• Traction Control System (ETS) (w/NW7)
• Traction Control System (TCS) (w/NW9)
• Vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) You need to have vehicle checked for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes , do you know what they are ? The traction control , ABS an stability control are all a function of the electronic brake control system .It also seams the power steering is controlled by the Antilock brake system. The Magnasteer® is controlled through the ABS module and varies the torque by adjusting the current flow through the actuator.
Your best place to start would be to have ABS module scanned for DTC'S . Codes would point you in right diagnostic direction .
The following components are involved in the operation of the above systems:
• Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM), The EBCM controls the system functions and detects failures.
The EBCM contains the following components:
- System Relay, The system relay is energized when the ignition is ON and no ABS DTCs are present. It supplies battery positive voltage to the solenoid valves and pump motor.
- Vent Tube, The vent tube, located in the EBCM, is an opening to the internal cavity of the EBCM. It allows ventilation of the EBCM internals.
• Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV), The BPMV contains the hydraulic valves and pump motor that are controlled electrically by the EBCM. The BPMV uses a 4 circuit configuration with a diagonal split. The BPMV directs fluid from the reservoir of the master cylinder to the left front and right rear wheels and fluid from the other reservoir to the right front and left rear wheels. The diagonal circuits are hydraulically isolated so that a leak or malfunction in one circuit will allow continued braking ability on the other.

Why does my ABS light stays on and sometimes i get a vibration in the brake petal causing my 2002 Cadillac escalade not wanting to stop?

The light being on means the system has detected a problem in one or more sensors. The vibration is the ABS modulating the brakes to prevent skidding because it has detected a wheel that is locked up. That wheel is most likely the one sensor that is giving you the error.

Trac control light on & anti lock lite came on same time stays on

That means there is a problem with the ABS , has DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in the EBCM - electronic brake control module . You need to have diagnostics run on it !

We have a 2005 Toyota Avalon. The warning light of car and key flashed, now vechile will not start. Why?

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Antilock brake system.TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module

Trac Off, ABS, and VSC indicator lights are on...I was involved in a front end fender bender but nothing major just the fender and bumper damage. but these lights would not go off. 2010 Toyota Sienna LE...

It is very common for all of these lights to come on all at the same time. They are all related to your Antilock Brake and Traction control system. ABS = Antilock Brake System, TRAC OFF = the traction control system is disabled - either because there is a malfunction in the ABS system or you have turned off the traction control button. VSC = Vehicle Skid Control. - (which uses the ABS and the Traction Control to function.)

The most common cause of these lights coming on is one or more defective wheel speed sensors. Although there are many other possible causes as well. Your ABS and Traction Control system must be scanned for fault codes to diagnose the problem. If you had damage to your wheels/axles during your "fender bender" this may have something to do with it. Otherwise it may just be coincidence that part of these systems failed right after your accident.

My trac light says trac off, and my abs light is on. what does that mean? I have a 1999 grand am Pontiac.

the trac light is the traction control, the abs light means the antilock brake system is not functioning properly. the trac control is no issue. the abs will not cause the brakes to fail but they will lock instead of pulsing.

My abs lights and advtrac lights came on simultaneously and i don't know why

It means you have a fault in your vehicles antilock brake system. Having the light on will disable the abs system. Antilock/traction control keeps your wheels from locking up and provides you with a more controlled stop, such as in rain or snow. Take it in to a repair facility and have them scan the abs system for fault codes codes
