Blackberry flip not reading sim.

First of all try this:

  • remove the battery and SIM card
  • replace only the battery
  • when the device has switched on remove the battery and replace the SIM card and battery.
Try this (from a forum) to access Safe Mode.

Accessing Safe Mode is simple: First you need to remove your BlackBerry battery to perform a hard reset. After reinserting the battery, the BlackBerry notification LED glowsred for a few seconds. Immediately after the LED dims, hold theBlackBerry Escape key—to the right of thetrackball—until a dialogue box appears to let you know the device isrunning in Safe Mode. The reboot process can take a few minutes, so bepatient.
To exit Safe Mode, simply perform another hard reset by removing and reinstalling your battery.

I would recommend this:
Go to options-security-general settings, then hit the menu key to the left of the ball. Then wipe handheld - it will wipe your phone memory.

If you are unable to use the sim, try a different one in your phone and eventually you will have to return the phone for repairs.

Insert sim

As far as I know.there are two possibilities to get this error..

1)Sim card not inserted properly:

Try to insert the sim properly..insert it at the desired position

2)Phone may be locked with a particular network:

If the phone is locked with a particular network then you need to unlock it.You can get the unlock service for your Blackberry 9360 Curve from either your network provider or third party unlocking service provider like, unBBlock.com and remove the network lock. Once unlocked it will work with other networks.

3)Sim Problem:

Mostly this won't be in your case because the sim had been working fine with your previous Nokia mobile and also the phone gives the same error message when you insert other sim cards.

4)Hardware Problem:

There might be some loose connection give it to a hardware service shop and check.

I am trying to use an unlocked Blackberry pearl 8220 on AT&T, it won't find a signal

If you are getting an error message saying, "Invalid SIM Card" or "Incorrect SIM Card", then you would need to unlock the phone first.

You need to unlock your blackberry network. Go to find blackberry bold 9000 unlock code for your original network sim card so your phone will be unlocked for another network. You can get blackberry unlock code from your provider or you can buy from third party sites for the simple way.

Your phone needs to be unlocked to use other sim cards. You can try getting the unlock code from your network service provider or a third party unlock code supplier (link below)

When i put my sim card into my blackberry it says invalid sim... what is going on? It's an unlocked phone I purchased on the internet and it is not working... can anyone help me?

Hello,

It looks like the telephone is SIM locked.

If you go to Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card and type MEPD.

This will bring up another screen. If the Network option shows "Disabled" then it is unlocked.

If its locked go back to the seller or buy an unlock code online.

Hope it helped.

My signal keeps sayin SOS and it tells me to insert sim card when

1.check the sim card if it is properly inserted.or try other sim card.
2.did you turn on your wifi?turn it on to have a signal from your network.
3.Is it unlock/openline already?
4.if the above mention is still not working its already a hardware problem.
