Things to check: Is the wire between the amp and the subs heavy enough to pass 167 amps? 2000 * 12 = 166.66666 amps. Max volts on the subs are 10 volts....close enough. Are you sure you're using the line out on the head unit? You may be over driving the amp if it's anything else.If the head unit doesn't have line out connectors then you'll need to get an attenuator for each channel. Do you have caps on the 12 v power in wires? They'll keep the headlights from dimming and the alternator will last longer if you do.

On a lanzar 535n 5 channel 3200 watt amp what is the best way to hook up 2 lanzar max 12 inch duel voice coil subwoofers

If your amp allows it hook the the sub's to the first two channels but bridge it and only run it on 2ohms so you don't blow your sub's

Amp wont play

Quick test...with your Lanzar volume all the way down, connect MP3 player or other type audio source directly to the subwoofer input connection. Play audio and slowly increase volume control. If subwoofer is working using this method, reconnect and check for audio output to Lanzer connection problem, or subwoofer "settings" issues with the receiver.

Can I hook up 2 lanzar opti1532 subs 2 a kicker kx 1200.1 or do I need a bigger amp, its a 1ohm stable amp an birth sheet says 1390watts but they told me at 14+ volts it will do 1400rms

Based solely on spec sheet information the Lanzars can handle 1300 watts RMS and the KX1200 is rated at 300x1 @ 4 ohms, 600x1 @ 2 ohms, & 1200x1 @ 1 ohm. Even with a 1 ohm load you will still only be providing 600 watts to each sub. While the kicker will provide more power at 14+ volts, no car creates more than 12-13 volts via its alternator. A car battery only provides 12.6 volts. So you will be loking at 1200 watts from 1 channel as a best case scenario.

Additionally, with your 2 subs, they will need to both be Dual 4 ohm voice coils in order to net a 1 ohm final load. Each voice coil will need to be wired in parallel and then each speaker needs to be wired in parallel.

I have a 650 watt lanzar vector amp hooked up to 2 1500 watt sony subs. my amp is turned up half way and it frequently shuts off and the red protection light comes on.

the problem is that you must have your subs wired to a lower impedance than the amp can handle. Wire your subs to 4 ohms, or get an amp that can handle 2 or even 1 ohms and crank it and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

High distortion

The head unit may be rated at 200 watts but it cannot produce more than ~20 watts of real power per channel. There's no way that it can drive the high end speakers to a level that will be needed to compete with the subs on a 1000 watt amplifier.
