Where to buy replacement part near los angeles area?thanks

We're actually located in Utah, but we're a full-line Williams distributor and we can have Williams parts directly shipped to you from them. Williams is actually located in California, so shipping time would be super fast. If you're interested, please call at 866-519-2461 or feel free to visit our website at and use the "contact us" page to send us an e-mail. We'd love to help!

City of Los Angeles has requested that we remove the Williams Wall Heater in my room but I don't know who to call to have it done? Should I call a plumber or electrician?

I recommend contacting the City of Los Angeles and find out if they require a permit to have your heater removed. If not, a good handyman with electrical and plumbing experience should be able to assist you.
If a permit is necessary, you should contact an HVAC contractor in your area to ensure you are in compliance with city codes, . They will be qualified to remove the unit's electrical as well as plumbing (if applicable). However, HVAC contractors don't typically perform carpentry work, so you might need a carpenter or handyman to fill in the empty space.

I hope you found this helpful. Good Luck! :-)

I need to reset my Delonghi radiator. it overheated

Unscrew the four screws holding the front faceplate on (two are on the bottom of the radiator). From the bottom end gently pry up the faceplate, it will stay attached at the top end near the temperature selector. Look inside and you will see a black bridge like piece of metal with a plastic and metal thing stuck to it's center with two wires leading into it. It's basically a connection that melts when high temperatures are reached, therefore it must be replaced (pictured). You can bypass this by prying the metal bridge out, removing the wires leads from the switch and connecting them using a wire nut. BE AWARE THAT THIS WILL OVERRIDE THE HIGH TEMPERATURE SHUT OFF MECHANISM, so don't use it for drying off your coat again._361.jpg

Electric Hydronic Baseboard Heater Under Electrical Recepticle

I believe you interpretation of the code is a bit skewed in that the fundamental concern is to not route power cords over a heat source which might cause the insulation on that wire to exceed its rated operating temp and fail. The heaters themselves have shrowds over them so there are no exposed surfaces hot enough to melt wire insulation and when you think about it ..2000 watts disipated over a long baseboard section is not that hot. If I were you, I would go ahead and install them and not worry about the warning.. The warning also removes any liability from the heater manufacturer in the event something happens.. Common sense would dictate that you wouldn't intentionally drape power cords all over the heaters... Just use common sense and not worry about it..

Ward Heater Company M0021

These old units have a simple gas valve and a separate regulator. Your best bet may be to replace the gas valve to something more modern. Trouble shooting this most likely be a waste of time, as parts probably aren't available, other than the thermostat. by-pass it, (connect the 2 wires together) and see if it comes on. The blower shouldn't stop the burner to come on. Sounds like the gas company doesn't want to crawl under there to light it.

Can someone please tell me what is the lowest temperature setting a Fahrenheat 3000 Watt Large Room Fan-Forced Wall Heater Model FZL3004 will turn on at ?

about the only way I can figure is to let the room get very cool and adjust the thermostat to its lowest setting. now turn on the unit. monitor the heat until the stat just opens. the thermostat bimetal will be closed and will open when the bimetal expands and opens its contacts. another way is to hitch up a chart recorder to measure temperature with its output connected to the heater. [too expensive for you or the DIY to accomplish]

Press the *power button* again, to change to low power, continuous run, (900 watts, 7.5 amps) and will not shut off until the unit is manually turned off.
