Hi, I have a Konka TV hooked up to a DVD player, and the decode.they were both running fine until I hit the wrong button on the remote, now I can`t get a picture on the TV at all John

You've probably changed the input port by accident. Look for the "source" button on remote. may be called something else but it's the one that selects which port you want to activate, like..HDMI2 or Skart1 etc....whichever port your DVD player is plugged to, select that one on remote.

Most DVD players connect via the rear audio and video jacks--once correctly hooked up you switch the set to that input--not the cable fitting but the a/v jacks if set has them.

When hooking up to a new tv, the sound no longer

Hi
This all depends on how you connected the two. If you used the component cables then you've forgotten the audio cables. If you're using an s-cable then you've bent a pin or the connector is not centered. If you're using an Html connector then the cable may be bad but my money is on the DVD player being bad.

I am guessing slightly as you havn't mentioned the model, but I think you need to change the output setting on the panasonic to component before it will work, connect it up to your old set or to the new one using scart, go into the menu and select component output, the pic will probably disapeer, then connect to the new tv via the component connection and it should work
