Question about JVC Everio GZ-MG360 HDD Camcorder
Since some time I have the above mentione camera, and it works just fine. But I have tried several firewirecables between my mac book and the camera. Mac doesnt find the camera, even if I open i-movie. I dont have a TV or Videorecorder and am also not willing to buy such. Before I got this camcorder I also tried other cameras with firewire, and also those were not being recognized by my mac book, which I got new in the end of last year. Do you have any idea, if I need some driver or so to get this going?
Superseding standard IEEE Std. 1394-2008 ...this is the protocol you need for the conexion ...on mac I believe they call it greyhound or something like that ...
if it didnt see any devive that you conected on that bus...probably the driver for the bus isnt installed ...try to find the devise (bus iEEE 1394 )and update it or enable ...
than probably will see your camera ...and will prompt for a proper driver if it will be needed...
but , keep in mind that what ever you conect on computer ...you have to be prompted for driver if you do not have it ...if the device is not seen that means that the bus is inactive or missing driver
