I have a sony ericsson W595, and everytime im using my phone, the screen will suddenly go black. i can still use buttons and if im txting i can still txt but i have to guess what im writing. leaving the phone a few mins usually sorts the problemm out for about 5 mins before it happens again. this is really annoying me as i havnt had the phone very long.

The slider phones use a circuit strip that connects it to the base. With excessive using of slide, sometimes it loosens it self or is damaged. This damage causes the malfunction of the sliding function.
the exact same thing happened to me. i was in london and had low reception and that and i thought if i turned it off then back on it would be better again but now i just vibrates for a second shows the sony ericsson logo then goes black but the buttons keep lighting up and vuvrating but not turning on.
i dont know whats wrong but i think it has something to do with the battery so im going back to the shop i bought it from and ask them about it (lost reciept though :L) i might have to buy a new battery for it (everyone is saying something to do with an alein thin on the battey)
