Question about Honeywell Focus 6300B 5-2 Days Programmable Thermostat Heater

1 Answer

Honeywell TH6000 series thermostat does not turn Fan on.

We have a Honeywell TH6000 series thermostat that works well for the heating and A/C. However, if we try to just turn the Fan on for air circulation, nothing happens. The wiring looks good as far as we can see. When we press the Fan button, there is a slight "click" and the display says On, but the Fan does not go on. The Fan does go on in Heat and Cool mode.

It's one of two issues; either the wiring to the thermostat is incorrect, or possibly you have an open ground. Depending on your system the wires at the thermostat end might have to pair up on one lead. go to where your unit is and look at the schematic for the control board, it will let you know what color you are looking for on the blower lead -- then make sure the corresponding color matches at the thermostat. Knowing the make and model of you unit and the board on it would allow me to be more specific, hope this helps you out some in the meantime.

I have Honeywell Pro TH4000 series. The fan wiil not come on what do i do

Depends on what type of heat you have...gas, oil , electric, heat pump? Make sure it is the right thermostat for your heat source. Some thermostats have a switch on the back for fuel or electric.

Honeywell th6000 thermostat installed. It shows only heat-or off- no cool. The fan doesn't show up as auto or on. Now air conditioner has turned on and it is -15

If you just installed the stat, you need to enter installers programing to set it up. To do thi, press and hold "UP" and "FAN" until a number on the left and right show up. The left number is the function and the right number is the setting. You do not specify what type of system you have, so i cannot tell you exactly what settings. But here is a link to the installers manual. the installers program settings is about half way down. http://www.forwardthinking.honeywell.com/related_links/thermostats/focuspro_6000/install/69_1920es.pdf

I have a honeywell t stat th6000 for htg only having problem get my gas valve to go onfurnace is working but no heat

As long as this is a 24 volt thermostat, remove the thermostat from the sub base and connect the wires that are connected to terminals R & W. If the furnace works the problem is in the thermostat. Have you tried new batteries

I have a honeywell III chronotherm thermostat /It won't turn on the heat or the air conditioning when turned to those settings, but it sometimes will when turned to "auto". The batteries seem fine, no...

it sounds like it is time to repalce the stat, auto is set to allow the fan to run only when the heat or a/c is on, the switch for heat and cool will select either, and the temperature lever should allow contact for the bulbs to bring on the desired component. there are no replaceable parts on a thermostat, or I would try to walk you through replaceing them. good luck.. I prefer the honeywell vision pro or the white rodgers 9500 series stats

Blower not working with new thermostat

To get the fan to work, look at the heating system to see what termoinal the blue wire is connected to. It should be the "G" terminal. If so, connect the blue wire to the "G" terminal on the thermostat and then manualy switch the thermostat to "Fan On". Indicate what terminals you have on your new thermonsta ie "G" "R" "Y" "C" "W" etc... For a fan to work, typically you connect "R" to "G" on the furnace.
