Front load pumps out water, DOESN'T SPIN, but DOES "tumble"

Front load Frigidaire LTF2140ES pumps out water but doesn't spin out load. It DOES however, tumble the load during the wash cycle and tumbles it at the end (I think it is programmed to "freshen" the clothes just before the door unlocks), so I believe this proves it isn't a coupling, belt, etc. I even disconnected the drain and let it drain into a bucket just to make sure there wasn't any back resistance to the pump. I've had a clogged drain in the past and it would try to pump water several times then beep a several times (signifying an error) - it is NOT doing that this time. It just completes the cycle like it spun the load, only it didn't. It acts like I de-selected the spin option (but of course I didn't and it shows that it should be in "high spin" mode). Any help GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I went through the troubleshooting guide and it gave me an E43 (or F43) code, telling me it was the control board - so I replaced the control board. That didn't work. I will look into the pressure tube - not sure where it is, but I will try to find it. Thanks.

OK, removed tube to pressure switch (from connector at the pump) and could get the switch to "click" while it was supposed to be spiining, but it still wouldn't intiate the spin. Any more help or suugestions greatly appreciated.

The pressure switch or pressure switch tube could be blocked tricking the machine that it still has water in it therefore not advancing into 'spin mode'.

Or the electronic card could be faulty and require replacing.

    Hello,

With the machine empty of water and turned off, disconnect the pressure tube from the pressure switch and blow into it.

The pressure switch (from memory) is a brown colour with wires and a tube going to it. (Tube or small pipe).

The correct tube is the tube that goes to the outer side of the bowl.

    Hope this helps?

I had the same problem listed above on my LTF2140ES3...the machine did everything but do a final spin. In diagnostics I could do the final spin and the machine kicked out an E43 which is the control board error.

Following the advice here I changed the door latch first and the problem went away and the unit runs as it should.

You'll get "experts" who say that the unit would not spin at all if the door latch was bad. I can tell you first hand that they are wrong. Again the unit did all the normal tumbling but didn't do the high speed final spin. Again, replacing the door latch fixed the problem. The door latch is part number 131763245 (AP3886713)

Frigidaire Front load Washer Does not spin (Drains fine, Water comes in fine)

Hi John - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. The humming noise is mainly caused due to the drainage hose/pump possibly being clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may be experiencing another possible issue with the faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Frigidaire Affinity Front Load Washer wont drain.

If your pump had something in it, it wouldn't have had to clog it, but rather just stopped the internal spinning. My coworker removed a dollar bill from his water pump, and it fixed the problem he was having (same as you've described) and the water pump worked well after it was re-installed.
Worst case scenario, you reinstall it and it doesn't drain and you spend 40 or 50 bucks online for the part. I would reinstall and see if it works. I'd bet on it.

Fridgidaire front load Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer will not spin

Hello there and welcome to fixya
I am hoping that you didnt replace these parts without testing every thing
Here is the complete troubleshooting steps for this problem
f your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these: The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. possible for a motor to burn out in one direction and continue to operate in the other. If this happens, you need to replace the entire motor. The transmission may not be shifting properly. these have a electro-mechanical shifter. If the shifter becomes even partially defective, the unit may drain the water but not spin. This is a complex system, if your washer has a shifter problem, you may want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician to repair it. The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Model GLTF167A0S0 Serial XC22704657... The final spin frequently doesn't work. I tried another wash cycle and the "high speed" spin didn't work. I can manually start the cycle and it...

If the water is pumping out fine you may need new shocks. But if it is slow pump the shaft on the pump is loose and causing the noise and possibly the spin issue. If it is loud when it does go into a spin (sounds like a jet engine) you have bad bearings. Big bucks to fix.

Tub has water in it

sounds like either the discharge line is clogged or the pump is not working, it could be working but getting ready to stop working and doesn't have the power to completly drain the tub, take the hose off the back if the water comes out the hose is clear and it is the pump, if it doesn;t come out then it is clogged
