Question about Frigidaire GLTR1670A Front Load Washer
Front load Frigidaire LTF2140ES pumps out water but doesn't spin out load. It DOES however, tumble the load during the wash cycle and tumbles it at the end (I think it is programmed to "freshen" the clothes just before the door unlocks), so I believe this proves it isn't a coupling, belt, etc. I even disconnected the drain and let it drain into a bucket just to make sure there wasn't any back resistance to the pump. I've had a clogged drain in the past and it would try to pump water several times then beep a several times (signifying an error) - it is NOT doing that this time. It just completes the cycle like it spun the load, only it didn't. It acts like I de-selected the spin option (but of course I didn't and it shows that it should be in "high spin" mode). Any help GREATLY APPRECIATED.
I had the same problem listed above on my LTF2140ES3...the machine did
everything but do a final spin. In diagnostics I could do the final
spin and the machine kicked out an E43 which is the control board
Following the advice here I changed the door latch first and the problem went away and the unit runs as it should.
You'll get "experts" who say that the unit would not spin at all if the door latch was bad. I can tell you first hand that they are wrong. Again the unit did all the normal tumbling but didn't do the high speed final spin. Again, replacing the door latch fixed the problem. The door latch is part number 131763245 (AP3886713)

Tips for a great answer:
Hi John - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. The humming noise is mainly caused due to the drainage hose/pump possibly being clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may be experiencing another possible issue with the faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Hello Deanna Lytle - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.
