Battry problem I have a similar problem with my Canon A570. Would love a solution.

    thanks for the info on eneloop. I am not sure this will solve all my problems but these batteries do seem worthwhile to try

Couldn't get my hands on eneloop...but this camera is power consuming....just chunk it away and get a new camera

From the menu, select Drive Mode (third item from the top) then one of the self-timer options.

Canon Powershot A570 keeps showing change the batteries


I had the same problem. Here's the solution. Go into menu settings, then over to tools, select reset all at the bottom of options list. You may have to re-enter the date and time. This solved the low battery problem for me. I hope this helps.

Canon A570 IS corrupted images


Go into the camera menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, format the card in the camera.(download any pics first using a card reader if necessary).

maybe its got dirty contacts in the card holder socket try rapping a bit of papper with switch cleaner on it and giving it a light rub to clean them up

Canon A570IS lens frozen half way-no power


I have a a570 IS that the lense locked out on. fixing it was going to be the same price as buying new, so I took mine apart and after two tries, i fixed it. I would be willing to take a look at it for a heck of a lot cheaper than Canon can if your willing.
