To turn the wireless on you can switch the wifi catcher switch on, The switch is located on the front edge of the computer next to the display release latch.

Step 1 Find the wireless switch, located on the front of the E5400, to the left of the touchpad.
Step 2
Slide the wireless switch into the "On" position to enable wireless radio communication on the Latitude.

Click "Start ' Control Panel ' System and Maintenance ' Device Manager." Double-click "Bluetooth Adapters."

Right-click the Bluetooth driver and then select "Enable" from the context menu, if available.

Navigate to the Dell Support website in a Web browser if the Bluetooth Adapters category is not listed in Device Manager.

Click "Start Here," then "Drivers Home." Click "Choose From a List of All Dell Products," then "Continue."

Click "Laptops," "Latitude," then "Latitude E5400." Choose your operating system from the associated drop-down menu.

Expand "Network." Click "Download File" next to the Bluetooth driver, then "Download Now."
Step 9
Launch the EXE file when the download completes. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Bluetooth drivers to the computer.
Step 10
Restart the Latitude following setup to begin using Bluetooth on the E5400.

Open the audio folder, and click on the download tab.
Accept single file download.
When downloaded, run the exe program.
You maybe have to reboot, after the install is done.

The Dell Latitude E6400 laptop comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor for fast computing and an NVIDIA graphics card for video playback, gaming and Web browsing. Slide the switch on the side of the laptop toward the front of the laptop. This switch enables Wi-Fi connectivity on the Dell Latitude E6400. When switched into the back position, the Wi-Fi is turned off. Turn on your Dell Latitude E6400 laptop and log into Windows Vista. Click on the Windows "Start" button. Click on "Wireless," located in the Start menu's "Show" list. A list of currently broadcasting wireless networks appears on screen. With your Wi-Fi enabled, you can connect to any of these available networks. Secured networks ask you for a password when you click "Connect," while unsecured networks connect automatically.

3. Right-click the Wireless Network Connection icon, and then click View Available Wireless Networks.
   
   

If the Choose a wireless network window states Windows cannot configure this connection, the wireless network card's configuration utility is managing the wireless network card.
If the Choose a wireless network window states Click an item in the list below to connect to a wireless network in range or to get more information, the Windows XP operating system is managing the wireless network card.

First make sure that your keyboard is working.. If is not working then fix that issue.. If it works then get into control panel and find windows firewall.. Turn off the windows firewall.. If you have any other firewall also turn it off.. After that try connecting.. If the issue is still not fixed then unistall the wireless drivers from the device manager.. Install a fresh copy from the dell website(www.support.dell.com)... The problem should be fixed...

According to the documentation for your Dell Latitude D610, you can turn its wireless networking function on and off by pressing the <Fn><F2> key combination.

Chcek if there's a wifi switch and if it's turned on. Try going to a wifi hotspot and see if your system can detect any wireless networks. If not, uninstall and reinstall your wireless drivers.
