V-chip code forgotten

v-chop code forgotten and remote for t.v. old and not working corectlyl how do I reset or change this?

I had this problem with an older Toshiba TV/VCR combo (2001), Model 3 MV13L3. I contacted Toshiba for help with this and this worked (yeah!!!)

Changing V-Chip Settings for MV13L3, TV/VCR Combo 2001. This should work with Toshiba V-Chip settings for other models also.

-Unplug your tv for 1 minute.
-Plug your tv in and turn it on.
-hold the volume down button on the tv at the same time you hold the "0" button down on the remote. This will bring up the "Set V-Chip" blue screen.
-Enter "0000" for the password and hit enter. Enter "0000" to confirm the password and hit enter.
-This will bring up the V-Chip set page. From this page you can: Turn Off the V-Chip, Change the Limits for viewing, etc.
-If you turn off the V-Chip setting, you will not have to deal with this problem again.

I found this to work on my Toshiba TV/VHS combo MV19M4 after trying others suggestions that had worked on similar models but nothing worked on mine. Maybe it will work for yours. Follow these steps:

1: Unplug the TV for 1 minute then plug it back in.
2: In the menu select "TV Set Up".
3: Move the blinking block to beside "V-CHIP Set" BUT DO NOT SELECT IT.
4: Hold in the number 1 button on the remote.
5: Hold in the volume down button on the TV.

Your TV will turn off. Give it a few seconds to reset itself and then turn it back on and you will have to completely reprogram your settings. When you go to the V-CHIP settings it will ask for your new code.

i have the same problem with my Tv, try to do this: Turn the TV power off, click MUTE , press 8-2-4, and power on. It should reset back to 0-0-0-0.Goodluck
