Wont dispense water or ice

Hello;

My name is peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

There are only two possible causes.

1.) Either you have a bad water filter, which happens. remove the water filter and test your water dispenser.

2.) Your water supply pressure is bad. Sometimes the water shut off valve to your unit gets plugged up. You need 60 PSI water pressure to operate the solenoid valves to your Ice maker and water dispenser.

Electrolux water dispenser wont shut off

If your water dispenser will not shut off then it is either the dispenser microswitch or the water inlet valve in the back of the refrigerator. Here is link that might help http://apcoappliancerepair.wordpress.com/?s=water+dispenser . Would need a model and serial number to assist you more. Good Luck From Apco Appliance and Air .

Rs2544sl water wont work

You push the water dispenser lever in and it applies power to an electric valve (solenoid) which opens and allows the water to flow.
So, there are two components to look at: 1. the electrical switch attached to the lever; 2. the solenoid valve.
Secondary things to check: Is the water connected? Is the shutoff valve on the wall open? Is the tubing clogged with mineral deposits? Are any wires for the water dispenser switch or solenoid disconnected, chewed through by that dead (electrocuted) mouse under the refrigerator?

Hope this helps...
Good Luck!

Water wont dispense

Yes, if the filter gets clogged up to a point that it won't allow water to flow, it won't dispense. Replace the filter. Remember that the all the junk that the filter captures is better left in the filter than in your bloodstream... Hope that helps !
