Step1, press the code search button until the led light stays on, then release button, Step2 press what equuipment you want to control, (tv, vcr, dvd, audio) then release. Step3, If you know what codes were used, press the code numbers in and the led will blink 2 or 3 times to comfirm it accepted the code. if you do not know the codes, do Step 1 and Step2, then Press the power button continuosly until the equipment you want to control comes on.
Hopefully this will work for you. This is the way my RCA Universal Remote works.
