Question about Apple iPOD 20GB Toshiba Harddrive for Gen 1, 2, 3 & 4 iPODs - MK2004GAL (Refurbished) (IP1930) Hard Drive
I have had my gen 3 ipod for about 2 years and for the last year maybe more the battery life has been really short and i have to have it on charge nearly all the time. I want to get some files off it and when i connect to a laptop it runs out before i can access any files. Do I buy a new battery because someone told me it is a hard drive problem and cant be fixed.
I have a question. my ipod is a generation three. to make a long story short, i performed sort of a frankenstein opperation and grabbed a battery from a generation 4 ipod and transfered it to the three. since the three was a much smaller battery, i got rid of the backing and ducktaped it all in. now the battery lasts, but sort of. the issue seems to be now that even when its off, the ipod is on, just the screen is off. i can still move the wheel (because i hear it click), and when i click a button the screen pops back up. I believe its just perpetually on, so thats why it doesnt last thru the night but it does during the day. any suggestions on how to fix that? i can tanker with it myself. and i have parts from an ipod gen4
