Cartridge stuck in Printer! HP OfficeJet 5610

I mistakenly put the 27 cartridge in the 21 slot, and now it won't let it go! :( I've been trying to maneuver it out for about 2 hours now, to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I Got it! I just did something similar, black ink in color slot. At first I tryed prying and yanking and wiggling all to no avail. When I actually stopped and looked at it, I could see a little lip sticking up on the back left side of the cartridge, the chamber is made for a little lip CENTERED-so used my left hand on the side of the ink to push it to the right so that the lip would slip through the slot in the chamber while I pulled with my right hand-IT WORKED!!!! Came right out! If you put the color in the right (wrong but (R)) side-try pushing from the right to the left while pulling out. The key is to LOOK and guide the lip on top of the cartridge through the little slot opening in the chamber. Good Luck!

Same thing happened to me. I used a metal coat hanger, cut in half, then used the single wire by bending it slightly, and slipping it in at the top of the cartridge. Put the hook part pointed down and pulled hard, it poped out onto the floor. Good luck!

I just purchased remanufactured ink cartridges for my hp 5610. I usually buy the #27 but switched to the #56 and the printer says it is not the correct cartridge. I doubled checked it is the correct...

Try to take out the cartridge.

Make sure that you have removed the pink tape from the cartridge (Nozzle protective tape)

Try to clean it with the clean cloth or paper napkin

and then Re seat it
=============================If this does not help ==============
Try to check with old 27 cartridge and if you don't get any error with 27 that means that there is some problem in the new cartridge itself

Printer says-

Clean the Electrical ( golden ) contacts using lint free cloth.
Clean the Contacts inside the Cartridge slot.
Put then back in the Printer and follow the instructions on the Printer Screen.
If this does not resolve.. Contact HP Support if you are using Genuine HP Cartridge for more Help.

I put the black cartridge #56 into the tricolor in an HP 5610 Off

It just is "jammed" into place, like a round peg into a square hole.
Use a bit more strength, in order to "unjam" it.

Or, if you are not comfortable, take it to a qualified printer technician,
and let him/her remove it.

My print cartridges are stuck

Make sure that the printer is turned on before opening the print carriage access door. Lightly press down on the print cartridge to release it and slide out.
Color cartridge on the left slot and the black cartridge should be on the right.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for trusting me Arthur84

Bad News that you have put the wrong cartridge in the wrong slot.
If you call HP they will replace both the Cartridge and the All-In-One as this is not possible to take out the cartidge from the wrong slot.
But if it is possible please apply little more pressure and try to take the cartridge out from the slot and try replacing it to the right slot.
If your printer is still in warranty then you can get both the cartridge and the All-In-One Replaced for free, if not you may opt for the Out Of Warranty Upgrade option Through HP Tech Support.

Good Luck Arthur.
