Question about Canon Powershot SX110 IS Digital Camera 9.0MP

Not pulling photos up

I take a picture and can pull it up and when i shut the camera off and turn it back on it will not pull anything up like it is lost or never took a picture. But the memory is getting smaller and it still is counting the picture. They are in there somewhere i just can't get them to pull up on the camera or computer and tried walgreens and could not pull them up there. i had a guy look at it and he said it is taking the pictures also.

Try connecting the camera to the computer with the USB cable and see if you can download the pictures that way.

Hello, we just accidentally deleted all the pictures on the memory card.. is there a way to retrieve them?

Don't format or anything to that card don't take another picture remove it from the camera. Yes you can recover some if not all the images. Well let me rephrase that you can't nor can I but there are programs available to restore, retrieve and clean memory cards. I use a camera store and mini lab an actual camera store will have these recovery programs you take the card to them and tell them what has happened. and they will be able to pull those deleted pictures off the card. you may loose one or two because of being corrupt but that's better then loosing them all. I don't know where you are to even suggest someone in your area but a trip through a phone book may help you find the right place. I have had sometimes a card get pulled from a camera that hasn't been shut off or finished writing to the card which is double bad. Take the card to my photo retailer and for $18.00 Canadian I get them restored and burned to a CD. it can be done

I downloading my pictures to my pc. I went back to view them on camera and now some photos says picture error. it is a black screen and an orange exclamation point. please advise

once you have moved all the pictures to your computer make sure to disconnect your camera. no need to keep going back and forth.
on your camera try turning it off, pulling the battery out for a couple of minutes. insert battery. turn on. wait until it is fully on, navigate to view pictures.
if black screen is still present you might have zapped your camera while connecting and disconnecting the wire to the computer repeatedly.

Why is my memory card write protected

Hello there,

You cannot delete pictures if the memory card inside your camera is "Write Protecte". What you need to do to unprotect it is to turn off the camera and take out your memory card. You will find a small 'tab' that might be pulled up or down. If it is pulled down, you can slide it up or vice versa. Put it back inside the camera and start deleting pictures.

Hope this helps you. Good luck!

Not sure how to turn off the lock so that I can delete or take photos.

Turn off the camera then pull out the flash memory card. Look closely and you'll find a small switch on the side. Switch it down then put it back to the camera. Power up a delete the pictures you hate.

Can i turn it off?

It should turn off after 60 seconds of inactivity however the type or memory in the camera is called volatile memory and it requires a charge to store data. So even if the display is blank if you have pictures on the camera it will be pulling a charge from the battery. The best thing to do would be to download the pictures from the camera as soon as you can so that the pictures stored in the memory aren't pulling a charge from the battery.

Camera won't turn on at all

Make sure the batteries you try are new and not cheap crap, or improperly charged or old recharghables. You can by a card reader that plugs into your USB for $15 - $50 dollars and download the photos then. Or bring your memory card into just about any photo store to have them put it onto a cd for you which you can then copy onto your computer. $5-$10
