### Whirlpool ice maker quit.

If it's similar to my Samsung, mine did the same. There is a reset button at the front of the box which contains the ice cube tray. If you press it, the ice tray rotates to dump the cubes, then refills. Hope this helps.

### Ice maker on whirlpool quit working .

If it's like my Samsung, there is a reset micro switch button in front of the box containing the ice cube tray. Press it and the machine resets, the ice cube tray rotates, dumping the cubes. It then rights itself and fills with water. Hope this helps.

### 72in x 29in x 24in how many gallons calculator

72 x 29 x 24 = 50,112 cubic inches / 1728* = 29 cubic feet. There are 7.48 gallons per cubic foot, so the tank is actually 216.92 gallons, assuming the dimensions given are inside measurements. I hope you have a strong stand and floor because the water alone weighs 1735.36 pounds (8 pounds per gallon).

*12 x 12 x 12 = 1728 (cubic inches to cubic feet conversion)

### Amana side by side refrigerator dumps a large puddle of water in front every month or so. Nothing in the owner's manual to help trouble shoot this problem. Model is SS25TE

Hello,

The water is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water draining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing, in many case when the floor indent is full the water will leak onto the floor.By pulling the refrigerator out from the wall,
there will be a tube behind the service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear, that tube can be removed and cleared, then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps you to stop the leak,
Gene

### Water leaking on the floor from fridge

That might be a leaky water valve connection Or it could be bad door gaskets.

### WHAT IS THE SIZE OF MY WHIRLPOOL WASHER? model number LXR9245EQ2

We have the same model. We plan to purchase a replacement washer, and tank size is a major factor.

Machine manuals are available at www.whirlpool.com. It's great Whirlpool has the docs available online, but there was no indication of tank volume for this model found in the manuals: Parts, User, Instructions.

I decided to figure it out by filling the washing machine tank manually counting the number gallons of water dumped in. I managed to dump in 23 gallons before risking overflow. I don't recommend this approach since the specified water level limit for the tank assembly may be lower than the perceived water level limit. This volume test was performed on a machine that's being disposed.

Google says 1 US gallon is equivalent to approximately 0.1337 cubic feet. Applying this ratio to the number of gallons poured in, the volume is 3.08 cubic feet. If 24 gallons, then 3.21 cubic feet.

I'm sure the tank is not 4.0 cubic feet since that would have required another 7 gallons of water, beyond the 23 already poured in, making a mess on the floor, and potentially wetting machine wiring and other hardware that should remain dry. Even if we account for the space occupied by the agitator, it's unlikely an additional 7 gallons of water could be added without significant overflow.

4.0 cubic feet is approximately 30 gallons.

We're going on the assumption our LXR9245EQ2 washer is a 3.2 CF machine.

### Water on the bottom of freezer keeps building up,sometimes drains on floor

The evaporator drain is clogged. Unplug the power to the Fridge, take the items out of the freezer. There is a bottom tray that's inside the freezer that has 2 or 4 screws, remove the screws that holds the floor to the freezer and lift it out. You will probably see a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. You may have to take off the back cover which is inside the freezer, it covers the evaporator. Then you will want to defrost the ice, do not use a heat gun it will melt the inside of the freezer. Best way to thaw it is leave the power off and melt it with hot water (not boiling). Either wet vac out the water as it melts or use a hand towel to mop it up. Sometimes a turkey baster will work to squeegee it out. There is a drain hole in the back that you will see as the ice begins to melt. That needs to be clear and the only way to clear it is to cover it with hot water. You will know that it clears and working when you see the water drain out thru the drain hole in the back of the inside of the freezer. By the way the drain drains thru a pipe thru a tray that's on top of your compressor. That's what heats it and makes it evaporate. Be advised that as you see that it is clearing, you can stop dumping water down there as some may get on the floor as the pan may overflow and dump water on the floor. If that happens, just mop up the water from the floor. Now put it back together again and plug it back in and you should have no further problems.

### I have a model FRT 18B5JB1..the area under my crisper continues to fill with water and overflow on my kitchen floor..HELP!!

That is from your defrost drain either being clogged with food, or covered with ice. Behind the back wall in the freezer is a drain that empties underneath the fridge. If that drain gets blocked or froze over then the water will dump into the floor of the freezer and out the door gasket.

### Kenmore freezer peeing on my floor

• if the door was not closed correctly for a while then a lot of condensation will be accumulated on the freezer coils.
• then when going into defrost it melts this ice/frost and overflows the pan or container under the machine which relies on evaporation to dispel  of the water.
• empty the pan under the refrigerator if you can, then give it another day, it will get back to normal.
if you already checked this and think it is a different problem then let me know, i will help you figure it out.
Mike
