Audiophase KZ111 MP3 players won't charge

plug the mp3 player into the computer, then turn it on, after that hold down the play button until the battery gets a line that starts moving back on forth on it, this means its charging, also do the same to turn it on

One thing that I have found that works is that you slide the switch to the "ON" position, but don't press play to turn it on all the way. Do this BEFORE plugging it into your computer. I have had the mp3 player fro a year or two and I have charged it about 15-20 times.

I had the same problem, I think the contacts on the connection are bad on the MP3 player. Before it would show charging and stop at full after 30 seconds. i wiggled the connection and pressed it in as hard as i could and now the MP3 player is charging. I have it on the On positions as well.

Just for everyone info the Audiophase KZ112 has been recalled. I had to return my 5th one this last weekend and K-Mart advised me that the mp3 player was recalled.

Turn the mp3 player on before connect it to the computer, let it starts completely then connect it.

I left the KZ111 charging for 2 days nothing. I turned the KZ111 on and started to charging like suggested. Left it charge for 12 hours and still nothing. They just will not take a charge. I suggest returning the, to the store and getting a different brand MP3 player.

You need to turn the mp3 player on before it will begin to charge.

i also got my kids one for christmas wouldnt charge i figured out if i leave the portable device box up on the screen it charges every one try that

I also had the same problem and fixed it by switching on the power during charging. It really helped.

Thank you for the suggestions. After several headaches I finally decided to check online for solutions and my MP3 player is actually charging, I think. lol

I turned it on, then plugged it in to the computer and the battery indicator is moving, which I hope means that it's charging. Before I left it off and plugged it in and the battery indicator wouldn't move. I also plugged it in first and then turned it on and the battery indicator moved for about 30 seconds and then stopped.

So if you're trying to charge your MP3 player make sure you
TURN IT ON FIRST, THEN PLUG IT IN!

Also I found a Support and Service number 1-818-767-2843 ext 117.
I have not tried it so I don't know if it's still in service or not.

my daughter also had this problem we ended up buying a seperate charging device which always works. loading problems can be fixed with a firmware update @ http://www.tgegroup.com/en/support/download.htm (may be needed more than once)

I can get the mp3 player to charge, but it wont hold a charge after 3 days of charging it wont stay on or come on at all, i have turned it on before charging also. the thing use to work good.

Yeah...turning it on while charging works. How do you open the thing up to change battery?
