IF The LIGHT IS FLASHING GREEN then there is something wrong with your wireless network
Check your network settings and Retry connecting

Check the adapter's status light loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); The adapter's status light can tell you a lot about the state that the adapter is in. Here's what the different lights mean:
  • Steady green light: The adapter is connected to a wireless router, gateway, or access point. The adapter is ready to use.

  • Steady red light: The adapter is not recognized. Try plugging the adapter into a USB port on the front of the Xbox 360 console.
  • Flashing green: The adapter is attempting to connect to a wireless network.
  • Flashing red light: There is a problem. The adapter might be experiencing a hardware failure. Contact Xbox support at http://www.xbox.com/support/contact (http://www.xbox.com/support/contact) .
  • No light: The adapter is not receiving power. Unplug the USB connector and plug it in again. Still no light? Try plugging the adapter into a USB port on the front of the console

All of sudden the xbox wont turn on, never had problems before

well if you press the power button and light isnt on check plug connection going into console and then from console it goes back into the ac adapter. make sure its plugged in tight. To make sure ac adapter is working fine there is a small light on the side if it is green it is working fine if it is either orange or red you have a problem and may need a new adapter. If so you can get a new/used one from your local game store. hope this helps and good luck

My xbox wont start up it flashes like it wants to kick on but doesnt. even ac adaptor wont flash green and stay on

Check power brick. The power cord could be loose. If your ac adapter is red unplug it from the wall, the surge protector and re plug it back in. If problem persist call ms and ask for replacement

I cant connect to xbox live

The red meant it was ready for configuration. If there is no light it means it is not receiving power. Try plugging it in again, or plugging it in to a front USB slot. If it still doesn't work your adapter has a defect and should be replaced.

Console flashing red, wont do anything,is there a reset

This may be an indicator of a problem with the Xbox 360's hardware. To help confirm this, turn on your console and check the power supply (the big gray brick) light. If the light on it is red, orange, unlit or anything other than green, make sure it's plugged in correctly. If that checks out, try a different outlet. If it still doesn't work, you'll have to buy a new power supply for it.

If the light is green, then you definitely have a hardware problem. The only way to resolve this is to go to this site where you can ship the 360 in for repairs. If you've bought the 360 less than 3 years ago, the repair will be of no cost to you, and Microsoft will even provide the box.

If it's been more than three years since you've purchased your 360, I believe it will cost $93 to have it repaired.

Hope this helps :)

Plugged in powerless 360

The power adapter would have gone green when it was working normlly, its what it does, you need to replace the power adapter 'brick' as it is either faulty or was over heated due to travel. Good luck.

My light stays red never turns green

This means that it hasnt connected to a wireless router. Make sure your router is wireless, that you have searched for you network and found it. If this still doesnt work then make sure that your routers wireless capabilities are working and try entering the settings in manually to the xbox 360 network settings.

Check your AV cables. Make sure all the wires are plugged in and secure. Make sure the switch on your AV adapter is turned to TV, or HDTV, depending on which tv you have. If it still doesnt work, contact xbox customer support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX
