Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

HELP! i have an epson 9800 printer and i'm having problems with the print quality. i have tried replacing the cartridges, performing maintenance (clean, reclean, etc...) but nothing is helping. my prints are streaked with blank lines and some areas are missing completely. i took both ink cartridges out and noticed there is a lot of black ink at the bottom of the well below where the cartridges sit (like flowing out of the spongy thing.) does anyone have any ideas?!

If you touched the electrical contacts on the cartridge the high voltage used could be taking a shorter path to ground. Try cleaning the contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer with a lint free cloth and some 99% isopropyl alcohol then wipe dry.

Why have my ink pads come to an end already and how do you change them i have an epson px700w?

Hi

You do not say which operating system you are using.

You do not say if you are using original Epson branded or compatible generic brand cartridges.

You do not say if the printer is new and if this is your first cardtridge change, or not.

Sometimes the cartidges that come with the printer are low volume, starter cartridges. The 2 types of cartridges have slightly different codes to distinguish them.

Some people prefer generic brand, compatible cartridges, which are generally cheaper but can be of inferior quality and some can contain inferior quality ink. Others prefer original Epson branded cartridges, which can be more expensive.

Some Epson printers can take both economy volume and high volume cartridges.

In Windows operating systems, generally:

Start > (Control Panel) > Printer(s) > right click on Epson PX700W icon > Printing Preferences > Maintenance > Ink Cartridge Replacement > follow on screen instructions > head cleaning >print test page.

or

Print a document > Print Dialog Box > click "How To..." > Maintenance > Ink Cartridge Replacement > follow on screen instructions> head cleaning >print test page.

Hello I have replaced ink to the printer and i have this error num 10000160 do you have solution to this problem. I try to reset without results. Itzik

Many of the Epson printers ink cartridges have a sensor thatallows the printer and the associated software knows when to replace theprinter ink cartridges (even when the cartridges have ink within them) and whenthe printer needs to be cleaned. You mayreceive error messages if that sensor is faulty. In that case you shouldreplace that sensor. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

My printer dont print right it skips and i just put a new refill in

It could be due to the refilled cartridge you are inserting in the printer. Refilled cartridges tend to degrade in print quality and cartridge performance.
You can try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On the printer operator panel, on Copy mode, press the Menu button > Tools > Maintenance > Clean Cartridges. Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
Try to print your document again to verify that the print quality has improved.
If that doesn't help, I would suggest you replace your refilled cartridges with new genuine Lexmark cartridges.

Replaced caridge and now lines are skippping in the print

Whenever you replace cartidges, it's a good idea to run the clean nozzles maintenance and the alignment procedures. If you are using aftermarket cartridges, it may take a few deep nozzle cleanings to clear the problem. If this doesn't clear the problems, I would put in OEM cartridges, or a new aftermarket cartridge to make sure that the ink refill is not the problem. Sometimes the quality control on the inks in aftermarket cartridges are not as good as the manufacturers.
