Re: polaroid p310 photo printer wont print brand new

Have you tried removing the paper and reinserting it? It's possible the paper is caught on one of the sensors, so it thinks it's out of paper.

Also, try opening up the lid and make sure there isn't a piece of paper stuck between the rollers. Sometimes inkjet printers will pull a second sheet in while they're printing, and that causes it to jam and not print again until that sheet is removed.

Why do the prints have horizontal lines of no ink or very little ink?

Bad or clogged printheads or you need to align the print heads. This will also happen if you try to print high quality pictures on cheap paper. Full color prints require either a photo paper or at least a colorlok paper to produce good results.

Be aware, jpg is an universal format, for pictures. It is not so all pictures have the same format and information. Your Polaroid can cope with a certain format of pictures. That is with the correct amount of pixels and he correct RGB settings, as your Polaroid camera produces.
It is not a computer. When you connect a printer to a computer, with the print program, the program can transform any picture size to any print size and also can work with RGB and sRGB, or even more challenges. I'm not even sure the Polaroid will accept pictures in the same format, if to a certain code is in the jpg.

All colors won't print

This could be solved, but you can get dirty. so if you want to tackle the problem yourself, use a place covered with papers and use plastic gloves. Don't wear your good pants. you need special cleaning fluid, like you can buy in a ink refill store. A serinse will be handy too.
If the normal cleaning cycle after a few runs does not solve the problem and you are sure all cartridges are full, then comes the dirty part. Remove the cartridges, and while closing the ink outlet, shake it to hear if there is still ink, like the chip indicates. If there is ink, put it aside, till you have out all cartridges. Then down in the cartridge holder, you see 5 holes, where normaly the ink goes in, clean these holes, using tissue or kitchen paper. If everything is clean, put in a few drops of the cleaning fluidwith your gloves on, try to apply a little presure on the fluid. Don't press till the cartridge holder braks, just a little presure. fill the 5 holes with the fluid. (The one or two colours that print correct, you can skip.)
If there was enough room, to work along side this or these cartridges, you could leave them in place.
Then put back all cartridges and start a set of cleaning cycles, or just start printing a colour picture, telling the printer you are using high quality photo paper, but jus use plain paper, because first all the cleaning fluid needs to pass the heads.

When you think collours are comin back, check the head alignement to see if all nozzles are clean.
Even if you don't need to print, switch on the printer at least once a week, to keep the nozzles open.

Hello Sophia, Did you try a different ink cartridge ? If you did than it sounds like a print head or nozzle problem.

When i try print my pictures they are coming out blurred. how can i stop this

1) Do they look good on your PC. If so its a printer issue if not, for some reason or other, you're not taking good photos

2) If they're good on the PC and print poorly then its a printer issue. Which can be many and varied.

Usually, the wrong kind of paper. If you use ordinary vice photo quality paper the ink can run.

Size, are you trying to print a small picture, say designed for 6x4 inches out on a piece of A4 at A4 size.

Printer settings, are the set to the correct type of paper and for photo printouts.

Ink, generaly, generic cartriges don't quite match the accuracy of manufacturer cartriges.

Pictures have a pink tint to them

Is this when you've printed them, or on the camera screen?

If it's when you've printed them you may need to clean the print head of your printer.

You'd do this by going through your printer's 'toolbox', which should be accessable from a menu tree - my one starts with clicking the 'HP Solutions Center' icon on my desktop.

Never try to clean the printhead physically as it just makes the whole thing useless.

I hope this helps.

Out of Paper

make sure that the paper is kodak xtralife with perforated tabs, otherwise the printer will really not pick it up and if it would - it's gonna be a really bad print

detach all the things that are attached to the printer.
grab a piece of lint-free cloth, wet the other end and leave the other end dry
clean the roller horizontally
use the dry end to dry up the roller and watch for water build ups
have at least 10 photo papers in the paper tray
slide the paper tray back into the printer
plug the printer onto the wall outlet, wait for the initializing sound
put cam to the printer dock
print a picture

FD73 Photo Quality

I'm guessing, cause i own a F505 and not a FD73......but, I dont even see a use for the F505 "standard" quality setting. It will stay on "FINE" quality always. I've got a HP 882c and it prints just fine. I use HP premium photo paper and the printer setting BEST. Are you using photo paper? Regular paper will bleed the colors around. Take some pictures on FINE and print them out on photo paper w/ printer BEST and compare.

Don't Rush Out Just Yet. Two possibilities. 1. You have the camera set incorrectly. 2. You have the printer set incorrectly.
