Cd player wouldn't accept a CD and it kept looking for cd

My 03 tracker wouldnt accept cd and it kept looking for CD even when the car was off. the raisdo was in an error state. i thought it might drain the battery. so i pulled the fuse that operated the raido out of my car and tried to start it. it started but wouldn't go into gear. so i put the fuse back and restarted the car... the raido worked just fine after that

My radio/CD player constantly says "ERR" and CD's won't play anymore. It doesn't show the time or the radio station either, just "ERR". I can hear it, like it's trying...

HI lisasmith566 IT is not a fuse problem .
the problem is your the CD part of the radio
must likely the cd is stock or more likely the cd drive motor is defective .
FIRST try pushing eject on radio and see CD comes out if not you need a new radio .

I bought a 03 ford explore eddi bower . its 6 disk changer had cds stuck init got two of them out and the door shut but wont except any cds said cd error/cd full.but i dont think there are any left in...

Honestly I wouldn't even bother going through the trouble and hassle of trying to "tinker" on the system to make it live again. Once these suffer a malfunction like this they're for the most part dead.

Hi I have a 6 cd player (ford freestar 2005 SEL) , and it doesn't accept any cd and won't reject one inside . Any suggestions ?

you can remove and take of back to remove cd inside, but wouldn't recommend, they are considered to be sealed units. The only supported way to do is take to the dealership parts department and they can send out to their supplier to be repaired..not what you wanted to hear, but even if you would like to replace with a used one, they have an internal module called ACM, this information will have to be uploaded and then downloaded to new internal ACMin the new radio

sorry, but that is the new technology at its best, limiting what people can do on their own

Good luck

The unit accepts and ejects a CD but will not play a CD - the radio functions seem to be fine.

DVD/CD players attract as much or more dust as the other electronics in our home. Be sure to dust with a microfiber cloth or electrostatic duster at least weekly, to keep your model running smoothly. The insides of our DVD/CD player can get dirty and dusty too. A great tool is a DVD/CD disc cleaner. This cleaner looks just like a disc with some extra little brushes on its surface. Some DVD/CD cleaner kits even come with supplies to clean and modify scratches on your discs.

Xplod cd player reads Err 99 and wont accept cd

I had the same problem.
i fix it by taking out the cd player and pulling the outer case off. when i looked inside and the (in technical terms) metal bracket that holds the white plastic disc (that i guess holds the cds) inside the cd player was bent down. i am assuming that cds were hitting this when i tried to insert them! i just bent it back up using a knife from the outside. i bent it up until the white disc looked level.

My built in cd player is stuck on (err) and wont play cds

your solution would be to go to a google search for 2001 chevy tracker and see if anyone has the same problem. also check the manual if you have one. can you get the cd out? if there is no cd in put in a cd cleaner disk and see what happens. hopes this helps.

I have a 4 DR 2002 Tracker. There are two fuse blocks. One is under the driver side instrument panel and the other is in the engine compartment on passenger side. Did you look at both?
