Hp 3330 scanner does not work

I want to know if there is any way to disconnect the scanner on my printer. I do not really need it so I do not want to fix the scanner but I would like to be able to use the printer.

You do need the scanner for all functions. When this scanner error come up, it is talking about the thing under the glass that has bulbs in it and moves back and forth. The error can sometime be cleared by cleaning the scanner real good. But you will most likely need a technician to do this.

same issue here , i solved with cleaning the scanner mirrors .
you get the scanner to the left where you see the glass (on off repeatedly)
open the little glass on the left
with Q-tip and alcool clean the 3 mirrors (little in left/bottom ps- big in bottom position-an one in right)

I have a HP laserjet 3330 that says "scanner bulb warming up" and makes a clunking noise whenever I turn it on. It never gets past this. I opened it up and disconnected the scanner/copier - now I can print...

Here is a link to a file from the HP web site. This explains how to open your scanner assembly and clean the scanner mirrors. These instructions are provided as-is. I have used them to repair many of these units with your problem, but because of the technical difficulties in opening your printer and performing the repair we accept no responsibility. You can download the instructions here,

I hope this helps you save your printer.

Not working properly

I'm having a similar problem. So far my solution has been to disconnect the 3330 from power for a longer period (> 30min.) and then switch it back on again. After the self-test everything appears to be ok again. I've got no idea why, but this seems to work (for now)
