Question about RCA TruFlat 27F520T 27" TV

1 Answer

My tv turns on and off repeatedly. (automatically)

The tv turns on and off by itself. The remote control will not function when this happens. The tv will turn on and "channel search" , and turn off. I 've had no choice, but to unplug it all together. What should I do?

Thanks for the input. I decided to disconnect the wires between the front controls and the main board, gave it a thorough dusting, and now rely on the universal remote for the cable box. So far it has worked decently. I guess it will do for now. Thanks for the input.

Targa Visionary LT 3220 television is stuck on mute. tried pressing mute button on remote but nothing happens.

Unplug the TV for 5 minutes and see if it clears. Is there a mute message icon on the TV screen (picture of a tiny speaker with a line through it)? It turns off anytime the volume control is touched automatically, so if that doesn't happen you have a problem with the TV itself.

It turns itself off automatically.

There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try:

1) Replace the batteries on your remote control.
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?

I hope this helps. Joe

Repeat if this doesn't work.
