Question about Sharp Aquos LC-32D40U Television
I have the same TV as this guy does with the same connection over component to the TV. The TV would blank out for about 2 seconds and then the video would come back with the input information in the upper right part of the screen. This does not happen in the xbox dashboard but only in a game. Unfortinately my xbox 360 is one of those "pre hdmi" versions so I can't use hdmi. i am going to get a new xbox soon to fix this issue. I also had to scale down to 720p to reduce the blinking out issue but it still happens every once in a while. i had a smaller hdtv before I got this tv and never had an issue like this before. My PS3 is hooked up though HDMI and haven't seen any problems with the connection so I think its an issue with the component to the TV.
You may also check with Sharp's Customer help line to see if there are any software updates for this unit. They can send it out via SD card with instructions.
Hope this helps,
