IT might be that the disk won't be in a recordable form, use rerecordable disk once

MANUAL RECORDING FROM COMPUTER HEADPHONE SOCKET.. FIRST RIGHT LEAD REQUIRED YOU NEED STEREO 3.5mm stero jack plug to lef right phono male leads... prepare for manual record place jack in computer headphone socket. check correct socket play track on computer their should be no sound. if sound present in wrong socket... if ok place phono left right into analogue aux inputs on cdr recorder.next make shure you have blank scratch free cd .next press ext(ernal) source repeatedly until the required input is selected i.e digital analogue optical etc..when auto track is on the disk will number automatically.with auto track on it their needs to be 2.7 second gap to rec number change. with the recorder stopped press rec type five times to enter in the manual record standby mode. manual start s to flash and the display shows REC EXT MAN followed by WAIT.after a few seconds press record . play the source track ie on your computer to set record level on cd recorder.. adjust audio card settings or volume control on pc etc .rotate easy jog/enter key until on the record /play level bar all the blue led are alight but not the red( clipping) display shows xx decibel eg 3bd. stop the source material (track on computer get ready to record ii.e to start track again..to start recording set you track going wilst pressing RECORD on the cd recorder, and immediatley the source material playing. the track number and recording time left appear in display . if check input message is displayed check the connections are correct etc .to stop recording press stop on cd recorder . update lights up and arrow goes out. after recording display will show UPDATE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS WRITTING TOC.. Im trying to records mix cd but isnt changing

• To switch off the Auto Track function you have to enter
Menu mode.
If you wish to increase track numbers manually, press
TRACK INCR(ement) on the remote control. For further
instructions see Menu mode.
ON (AUTO): The track increments are automatically taken over
from the digital source material or after 2.7
seconds silence during analog recording.
OFF (MANUAL): While recording track numbers can be
incremented manually by pressing TRACK
INCR(ement) on the remote control.
(Minimum track length is 4 sec.) (This can
also be done in Auto track ON mode.)

Can't record DVD+RW and DVD+ Disks...PLUS

Firstly, you need to finalize the -R disk recorded by and in your unit before it will play back anywhere else.

Secondly, the DMR-ES10 does not support +RW, only -RW.

Finally, I have never heard of a +D. Do you mean +R? It is likely that you have a corrupt disk; change it.

Recording Mixes from IDJ2 to my MAC

I don't know about MACs but I assume most computers are the same in their general anatomy when it comes to the sound system.
ie. Windows has a digital recording system built into the OS that allows you to plug an 1/8" patch cable into the "input" of the soundcard of the computer. Years ago I recorded several things from karaoke songs I sang to pre-recorded song I mixed from my DJ console. The volumes needed to tweeked to avoid sound distortion but it sounded so good I've used my recordings at gigs.

Unknown disk type

Press 'Disc Menu' and wait for 'no disc' to appear on the screen. Eject the tray by pressing the 'open / close' button on front of the recorder. Enter the following numbers very slowly on the remote control ' 0086000 ' Press ' OK ' button on your remote control. Close the tray by pressing ' open / close ' button on the front of the recorder. You can check this has worked by pressing ' 0009 OK ' on your remote after the tray has closed. A display will pop up on screen showing the Region as 0. This means you should be able to play discs from all Regions. If this doesn't work the first time! try again! Hope this helps!!

Don't know how to actually record

To record you need to first assign your input to a track, then arm the track for recording, and then press play + record at the same time.

1. So you would patch you mixer's output into an input on your DP01 (say input A). You can run some audio to set the level with the input level knob (located next to input A on the front panel).

2. Then to assign that input to a track simply press and hold the 'input A' button and then press the 'rec' button of the track you with to record on. The 'rec' button will flash rapidly to indicate that the input is assigned to the track.

(To assign the input to a different track you have to clear the input assignment from the first track and assign the input to a new track. To clear an assignment press the input assign key, A in this case, and the track it's assigned to will flash its 'rec' button. Hold down the input assign key and then press the flashing 'rec' button. The button will stop flashing and the input can then be assigned to another track by following step 2 again).

3. Next, to arm the track for recording simply press the 'rec' button for that track. The 'rec' button with flash slowly.

4. To begin recording press play + record together in the transport section and the 'rec' light for the armed track will stop flashing and light steadily. Press 'stop' to end recording.

This should get you started. The operation of the DP01 is actually pretty intuitive once you've gone through it a couple of times (which is one of the real strengths of the unit). You'll be multitracking like an expert in no time.

Cheers,

bd.

Formatting disks for EDSR1600

The EverFocus EDSR Security DVRs use standard PC Parallel (PATA) hard drives. I have used ATA100 and ATA133 speeds with no problems. There are no PC-type settings required except as below. The DVR has it's own internal firmware and will format the drive to its requirements.

If you are using a SINGLE drive tray, the largest hard drive I know will work is 500 GB. Set the drive to Master and you are done with the hardware setup. (CS Select would also probably work.)

If you are using BOTH drive trays, the largest hard drive EverFocus says will work on the EDSR100 or EDSR110 is 320 GB. Set both drives to Master and you are done with the hardware setup. (CS-Select on both would also probably work.)

Do NOT set any drive to Slave!

Lock the drive trays; if you don't the DVR will not go into record.

Press the STOP key and then press the MENU button. Go into the SYSTEM menu and do a DISK RENEW. This will erase the hard drive and also prepare it for DVR recording.

Do this by using ► or ◄ to select DISK RENEW. Change NO to YES (by using ▼ or ▲) and press the ENTER button. Highlight YES again by using ► or ◄ and again press the ENTER button.

Press the MENU button to exit and reboot the DVR. Then press RECord and you should be recording.
