You'll have to contact a Janome dealer & ask about the fuses

Testimonial: "I have done this and it works for a few seconds and blows them again...could it be in the board?"

  • Debbie May 02, 2014

yes, it could be the board, or it could be a battery connection problem, or a wiring problem, it would be a good idea to have it checked.

It froze up and will not turn manually or with power

Please advise the brand and model number of your machine.

If it is a mechanical machine (not electronic/computerized), it most likely needs a good cleaning and oiling. If not oiled regularly, the old oil dries and turns to gum (varnish) and the metal parts begin sticking together until they are completely frozen and the motor is no longer strong enough to compensate.

E1-Error message is apparently the fuse were is

Hi,

The E1 error message. This is due to the fuse having to be switched from the 2.5 amp to a 3.5 amp. they did not recall the machine because of the low cost $2.99.

The Fuse is Located on the Board itself.

I guess the Part Number for your model is 000182177.

You could Purchase that from :-

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/showPart.pd?partNumber=000182177&productGroupId=0020&supplierId=385&pathTaken=&filterPart=&pop=flush

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Pfaff 2020 Foot Pedal--taken apart; need help putting back tog.

Are you able to post a picture of what pieces you have? The contact board may not be pressed down all the way or the contact itself may be bent. You should be able to purchase both pieces if needed from a pfaff dealer.
