Monitor warning pc enter power saving mode

HP Pavilion a700y monitor HP f1503-
Took computer home from work, couple of months before I hooked it up.Computer starts but no XP image;monitor shows"entering power saving mode" computer continues to issue 5 second sound signal followed by 3 sec silence and same signal indefinitely.Power supply seems fine.Fans working.Electrical outlets/cables all fine.Took out battery same symtoms exactly.

What do you do when you can't get into windows on the screen? The monitor works fine on a friends computer.
Any advice will be sincerely appreciated regards Rick/Seattle

Reco22 Thank you for the quick comeback and your advice. It's a wireless keyboard........not the one I used at work.I just tried another
keyboard with wire same result. Would the computer be unable to boot to Windows with dead plugin port??.......I'm going to get a new battery today even though HP support said it should come online without the battery.(It didn't)

Thanks again for your time/help any further info appreciated Rick/seattle

When I turn on the monitor, I get an error message: "Warning PC entering power saving mode", then it turns off.

Unplug your dekstop from the electricity then press and hold the power button on your desktop for couple minutes with out no power cable attached to it then let go of the power button then connect your desktop back to electrical outlet and press power button once that should give you display once it turns back on you can go into your power saving options and turn off power saver mode as its conflicting with your LCD sometimes this can occur if you have Norton antivirus installed
if after doing the power drain and still get same message then you can try using a different monitor if you have one for a test.
this issue is not with your monitor but with the PC has been stuck in sleep mode but the power drain should solve your problem.

Monitor displays "warning pc entering power saving mode

Hello
Sounds like to power settings were set too low. Restart the PC, before it gets to Windows press F8. This will send the PC into SAFE mode. You'll get a menu of which SAFE mode to select, just select SAFE mode with networking. Once in SAFE mode, go to START, Control Panel, Power Options. From there select new settings. Since this is a desktop, I would make the settings very long. Good luck

THis is a problem of the invertor board. If you are technically able you need to disasseble the monitor and resolder components around the red or yellow inverter transformers.
