Printer not printing full picture.

Is it mac or windows based pc? Is the printer directly plugged in via USB cable, or is it a wireless network printer?

In most cases, if it was working as it now now. A simple computer restart can do the trick. If not, the other questions will help direct someone to the right place to look at the settings to make sure its properly being recognized by the computer

The problem is most likely a broken plastic lever on the end of the shaft that moves the print head. The plastic lever is keyed to the shaft by a flat on the shaft. The plastic has a tendency to split at the edge of the flat, resulting in the lever slipping on the shaft. This in turn results in one side of the print head not contacting the paper with sufficient pressure. The other end of the shaft has a thick plastic sector gear which is much less likely to break.

I fixed mine by making a clamp from a metal spacer (made from split tube about 1/8 inch long) and force fitting it over the part of the plastic lever that fits on the metal shaft (on the end towards the inside of the unit). There is just enough clearance to do this without hitting the print head frame.

To remove the plastic lever, first remove two screws from back of unit, then pull up on top of unit, unplug two ribbon cables from circuit board and remove top. Then unplug two remaining ribbon cables from circuit board, and three screws holding circuit board. Lift circuit board and fan/fan-holder as one piece. Finally, disengage tab on plastic retainer on end of metal shaft, rotate tab straight up and lift shaft up and to the side (may require a little wiggling). The plastic lever slides off the metal shaft.

Ran into the same problem. The problem is that the printer's paper sensor sees through the vellum and therefore doesn't think any paper moved into the print position. To use vellum, fold up 1/4" edge on a standard peice of print paper and place the leading edge of the vellum under the flap. Place the paper and vellum into the printer and print. The printer will pull in the paper and the vellum together. Make the paper fold tight and straight to prevent jamming. You will need to feed one sheet at a time. Also the Epson inks take a long time to dry on vellum. I let mine dry overnight.

Are you trying to print the image to the full size of the paper if so does you printer support edge to edge printing?

If not or if you are unsure try resizing the picture to leave a border round the edges.

If the dimensions of the picture your trying to print are not in a 2:3 ratio (same ratio as 4 x 6), it cannot fill the entire 4 x 6 area without distorting the image, i.e., you would have to "stretch" the dimension which has white margins right now to fill the paper. To print an undistorted borderless image, you will have to "crop" the picture so that the remaining dimensions are in a 2:3 ratio.

Check your print settings and run an allignment check.
