This unit should have a pressure switch that cuts the unit off and on with a adjustment to set the cut out .most switches have two adjustment screws.one of them tells the unit to kick on when the pressure is getting low.the other adjustment will raise the pressure to the desired amount.

Husky model WL6605-00AJ,will pump up to 65psi,thats all the air showing on thr gauge. The compressor is still running

You Might Have Water Condensation Inside The Tank Therefore It Can Only Fit So Much Air Into The Tank Which Is Why Its Always Better To Completely Drain All The Air Out Of The Tank When Not In Use.

Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa. You have air leaks. Check all lines, pressure switch, line coming from pump to tank. You may have to remove this one to inspect it. Check valve at the bottom of tank. Thanks for choosing FixYa....John

MY COMPRESSOR ONLY PUMPS UP TO ABOUT 65 LBS. CAN IT BE ADJUSTED TO HIGHER POUNDAGE?

yes most air compressors have a pressure switch on them.this is used to adjust the desired pressure you want to reach.the second adjustment is for setting the pressure for when you want it to cycle back on.lets say you want it to run at 100 PSI.one of your adjustment in this box will control this , when you are using the unit and the pressure starts to drop to lets say 90 PSI you can adjust the unit to cycle back on.

Not pumping up to capacity, motor and compressor working fine,

If your pump is shutting off before it reaches it's max psi. then you need to adjust you switch. Under the black case there are two adjustment screws. One is the high\low adjustment, the other is high pressure cut off.
The first will change when the pump turns on and off for your low psi setting and the high setting simultaneously.
The second will allow you to raise or lower just the high setting. There should be a diagram under the black cap to show which is which. Adjust the high side only and just a 1\4 turn then run the compressor and see if that takes care of the high setting.
