Question about Cameras

1 Answer

Battery in flaslight was leaking and ruined the light. It was a cheap LED flashlight so just threw it away, but when I went to my package of new Nexxtech Alkaline Infinicells, I see that there are about 12 cells that are going bad (leaking at the base) still in the package. It is a package of 48 AA size supposedly good to (Best Before)2012.

That's what can happen with super cheap no-name (no quality control) batteries. Frequently batteries of this type are not even alkaline at all but old fashioned zinc carbon batteries.

NexxTech claim to offer "Affordable Quality products", so perhaps their buyers are unaware that their suppliers are letting standards slip. I'm sure that if you contact them they'll try to help.

Wet blackberry bold 9900 and flashlight wont turn off

Well first you went wrong by plugging it in, honestly your best bet now is to put it in a package of rice to soak up all the water and hopefully it works from there. Although I hope someone can give you some better advice.

Anyone know a good LED flashlight for camping?

you dont have to spend alot of money on led flashlights. they range from 1$ to well over 100$, In my experience and back ground. I prefer to keep several less costly ones than to spend way to much money on high dollar lights. befofe led i cant count how many mag lights i purchased or how many were lost, borrowed or stolen it depends on what your looking for and what options you want. i like to have several 1 to 2$ ones. and some that have features like position switch. for 1 led .3led or all led lamps working. or lights that have a spot light on the end and cluster leds on the side for area lighting, in my personal opinion if your going to hang on to it you cant beat a 4 or 5 D size mag light. take in to consideration they have led models now and also led conv. kits available for ones that have bulbs in them. but note you cannot focus your beam as wellwith led on mag lights. any way the main problem i sure you and any one who has owned small aluminum led flshlights has delt with the flickering hiting them and unscrewing the ends twisting back and forth to get the light to come back when you need it most. easy cure aluminum sucks as an electrical conductor. dielectric grease is your best friend. anywhere you have any connections such as the threads on the alum. flashlights. Also very important general purpose elect. conn. ac or dc and absoloutly if you own a boat please remember any elect. conn. and most important when you connect different types metals copper, lead, brass alluminum, tin galvanize, stainless, gold they all will fail lead to corrosion and or lose conductivity.and lead to damaging or ruining minor or major equipt. remember if your repairing boat wiring for instance and possibly replacing damaged equipt. having correct guage wire correct fuses for what amperage a curcuit or piece of equipt. needs. If you have corrosion at the end of your wire terminals and your fuses and fuse blocks. it will fail......so if its a flshight , acar or boat motor .airplane ect battery, if it conducts electricity clean it ,use dielectric, not wheel grease dielectric grease it conducts electricity. and try this on your inexpensive aluminium led lights. dollar store led flashlights work fine or any where you see them on sale. if they come with batterys most likely dispose of them. dont skimp on batterys. all quality batterys have a shelf life of several years. on sale aa and aaa i look for duracells or equivelent in 24,36 or 48 packs. i allways have some with me and share them with people in need. and thats another reason i keep a few cheap flashlights with me . even when i riding my HD Road King a simple flashight given to someone on the side of the road can be the gift at tjhat time that they will never forget. i apoligize for rambling . but im not typing im just talking . the typing is being prefom by dear friend xxxxxxxx I think I am .more than a dear friend and if you keep your hands and mouth off of me for a little while. I would have been done much sooner. and you might no what I actually typed. HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone from Liz and Rick or as he likes call me LIck IT Ziggy

How do I change the battery or batteries in a Gerber LED flashlight? The bottom seems to have a black plate that doesn't seem to be removeable.

Hello. The correct way to remove and replace the battery would be to unscrew the end cap all the way. The Battery will then fall away allowing for a new battery insertion. The "plate" is not suppose to be removed (according to Gerber Blades). Hope this helps.

How to battties in a mag light.

The bottom unscrews. When you get the bottom open, screw the top(where the lightbulb is) down further.Hold the flaslight almost sideways and slide the batteries in,then turn the flashlight back up so as not to let the batteries slam. The little positive nipple goes in first for both batteries. After you screw in the bottom, then you can adjust the top end for proper usage/operation.Greg

How do you change the AA battery's for a Garrity Aluminum Flashlight?

If its the one I have ... A battery may have failed and leaked causing it and the battery unit to become stuck. I pulled off the top of mine and pulled out the LED assembly and banged it on the bench a few times and it popped out and I cleaned it up with some baking soda and water.

LED Flashlight Battery Drain Problem

This particular flashlight uses a microchip that consumes the power of the batteries, whether in use or not. Loosen the case to where the batteries go in, so there is no contact with polarity. Or just take the batteries out completely and replace them for actual use.
