Same problem... as stated, Lifecam vx6000 works in Vista (got a dual boot) worked in Win7 bv7048 and after upgrading to pre-RTM v7229 it stopped working. The system complains about "vVx6000.exe" being incompatible and therefore being blocked. This sucks! It really IS amazing how the only hardware that isn't working is an M$ webcam!
yes windows 7 releases have some compatibility issues with the older versions of many softwares and hardware devices try finding the location of the file you mentioned right click and open the properties go to the compatibility tab and set compatibility mode to vista service pack 2 apply settings and try to run the program it should work now or else you will have to wait for a version compatiable with your hardware device like i did for my radeon xpress chipset

I'm having trouble getting my Verizon MyFi card to configure on my Dell PC w/ XP or my Dell laptop with Vista. The files load--but it doesn't find it when you look for a connection. I've spent 1-1/2 hours with Verizon's tech support and the ppl at Verizon took my laptop to work with it today for several hours but couldn't find a solution. It must be a setting in my computer. They lowered the firewall on the compuer to load the drivers but that didn't work. They checked the administrator settings. They checked to see that the MyFi was being "seen" by the computer and even were able to install it on another computer so the card is good.
