ACer aspire 5635 WL Mi web cam does not work at all

Hi Mr. Waddy I m not sure that the drivers would support Windows seven yet. Available for Vista though. If you have the driver CD you may be able to install it again in a Windows XP environment. There are drivers for vista so either you have to change your cam or Operating System (not a wise idea though since windows 7 is excellent). The necessary shortcuts to the camera program should be installed on your desktop or in your program list in the start menu.

Did the machine come with originally vista os installed or it was xp. Try to re install the driver. Still if it doesnt work, i would suggest that it is wise to send it for a depot repair. Good Luck.

You will need to download the driver for your webcam from the manufacturers website. For most webcams xp didn't require a driver but vista needs a driver to make the webcam operational. Hope this helps & please rate this solution fixya. Thanks.
