Screw stuck in door seal drain hole Whirlpool Duet GHW9150PW1

Pockets! I had a small screw from an electrical outlet cover in a pants pocket, and didn't find it when the pants were washed. The screw ended up in one of the 5 small holes which drain the door seal area of my Whirlpool Duet GHW9150PW1. When attempting to remove it, I was only successful at pushing it into the hole farther. What should I do now? It needs to come out because it's beginning to rust and could discolor clothing. If I push it on through, I don't know where it drops into. Could it be sucked up into the pump? Help! Thanks!

Water is pouring out the front of the machine- don't know if the seal is loose or what

It's likely that the drain pump is clogged. Debris from pockets often work their way into the drain pump, occasionally clogging the pump. Other things to check are the drain hose and tube for obstructions.

My washer wont drain the water how do i fix it

I had this problem. It is b/c the drain is cloaged with possibly a bunch of change and what not. You have to take panel off at bottom of washer and then there is a try that you pull out and it will probably be filled with whatever has come out of pant pockets. Clean it out and your water will drain just fine.

Something is making a screach sound like a nail or screw rubbing on the barrel how can find it?

I would first look under the door rubber gasket or in the tub to see if maybe a coin, or screw has fallen out of a pocket. I've had this happen several times even though I check all pockets before using my washer. It may not be easy to locate so you have to search every inch and pull back the rubber.

Problem with F21 code on whirlpool duet sport

i had the same problem. take the bottom cover off of the front of the washer. on the right you will see a round white screw off cover, it is very tight, it unscrews counter clock-wise. pull this out and see if there is any debris in it. if you look into the hole on the right side there is a hole about 1 inch round, this is the pump opening. you may have to take the gray drain hose off of the back of the pump housing and feel if anything is stuck in there, in my case there was a penny stuck side ways blocking the flow of water. after i took it out the washer has been running great again. this is obviously a design flaw, that something that large could manage to get that far, lucky for me it didn't damage the pump impeller. hope this helps. this should take care of the SD and the F21 error codes.

WHIRLPOOL DUET MODEL GHW9150PW1 doesnt complete wash cycles

FO2 is the code for long drain. The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Problem with whirlpool duet

you can access the drain pump assy by removing the 3 screws across the bottom of front panel, after that youll see the drain pump directly in front of you, youll need to unscrew t he filter cap form the "button trap"assmebly, this is what catches all the junk left in pockets, or the baby socks, so they dont make itr into the puppmp itself. be warned there will be water wanting to come out after unscrewing the cap. ALOT depending on amount of water in machine!!!!!!

There's no easy way of getting something out of between the tubs without removing the rubber door seal from the tub. It's a pain in the rear to get it to go back on too, because of the retaining spring that holds it in place. Are you sure the screw is between the tubs and not stuck behind one of the was tub fins? Most small items like screws will eventually find their way into the drain line and get caught in the drain pump strainer. Since you can't see the screw, it may actually be trapped behind one of the fins. One way of knowing is to roll the inner basket with one hand and listen. If you hear something rattling around it's somewhere in or on the inner tub. The outer tub (or shell) does not move. You can also look through the inner tub holes with a flashlight while turning it slowly to see if you can see anything between the wash tub and shell. Usually, water and gravity will force anything lying in the tub shell into the drain line. Let me know if this helps you.
