I agree, but if it's not possible to access with cd default IP address is, you need to know default gatway information of your router, maybe is and then you need to change default IP camera address, the best option is to use a cross over cable with your computer, change your IP addres in your computer for a new one inside CAMERA RANK for example and plug the cable in your computer and in your camera, in this way you can acces directly to the camera from explorer only writing IP address, once inside camera you can modify the camera configuration following router configuration. good luck!

Re: panasonic bl-c20 wireless network camera

Try this - unplug the power from the camera (and the ethernet cable if it is using one). Locate the 'Factory Default Reset' button on the camera get a paperclip and straighten it out. Plug the power back into the camera and press the reset button with the paperclip until you see the indicator light flash and go out (about 10 seconds). Now attach the ethernet cable to the camera and into your router and insert the Panasonic camera utility disk into your computers CD Drive. Run the setup utility from the disk and after a few minutes it should find the camera and you can follow the instructions for a new set-up. If the camera has been on more than 20 minutes when you start the setup utility, unplug it for 10 minutes and try again. Oh, and turn off Windows firewall while you are doing this.

I can't get this website to work. It's supposed to be the website to configure my BL-131 Network Camera. I got the camera a couple of years ago and just now replaced my router. ...

Replacing the router will not have changed any settings in the camera. The IP address is the factory default for the camera, unless you assigned a new one when you set the camera up.

This is a wired/wireless camera, and if you're trying to connect wirelessly you probably have a router setup issue. Like any wireless device, the camera needs to provide the right key to connect. If you haven't set up your new router's wireless security yet, or set it up with a different key than the old one, the camera won't be able to connect. If the camera's not on your network, you won't reach it and you'll have the problem you described.

The simplest thing to do is to start fresh. Reset the camera to factory defaults with its rear-panel reset button. The button is recessed and you'll need a pen or other object to press it for a couple of seconds. Connect the camera to the router using a cable, and you'll be able to reach it again on Set up the wireless network in your router (assign network name, security key, etc.). Then go through the camera wireless setup steps so it can connect to your network and you'll be back in business.

If you need a copy, you can download the manual and find other information here from Panasonic.

When i switch to wireless mode, camera stays in;privacy mode

Unfortunately the electronic operating instructions are not available from the support website and have to be purchased from Panasonic.
I think it will be a case of re-setting the camera to factory settings and re-program the webcam again

Lost the Setup CD

You will not find any software to do this on the Panasonic website. They only supply instruction manuals and firmware upgrades. However you don't need any installation CD. This camera is a web server so it contains all its own software. All you need is to type in the local network IP address (default is into your Internet Browser and then enter your ID and password into the screen that pops up. The installation CD is just scanning your network to look for a camera on some IP address and it makes things a little easier if you have multiple cameras. All the rest of the setup is actually in the camera's Active-X software. If you previously set the camera up with a different IP address and/or port number and you have forgotten it, or you can't remember your User ID and password, (write it down the next time) you may have to reset the camera (see the small reset switch on the underside of the camera) and you will have to start from scratch. But you don't need the installation CD. The camera will ask you exactly the same questions as the CD. Typically you will have to set it up first in wired mode with an Ethernet cable to your router, but this is only because the camera doesn't know the SSID of your wireless network until you tell it (go to Setup/Wireless when you have logged into the camera.) Once you have put in the required wireless info, you just flick the switch on the underside to Wireless Mode and it should all work just fine.

Panasonic BL-C20

Normal 0 Probably has corrupt driver.
Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
