I have a Dell BT Travel Mouse. I received it along with my Dell Studio laptop for Christmas. The batteries are good. The last two days the mouse will show that it is on, but I cannot get to work. What should I do?

It has probably lost its Blue Tooth connection. I will attempt this one from memory...

The easiest thing is to push the connect button on the mouse, usually on bottom somewhere and see if it picks it back up.

If that does not work, the connection to the computer might have gotten reset.

If you look in the bottom right of your screen and see a little Blue icon (should say bluetooth if you hover your cursor over it), right-click on that and choose properties. This should bring up a window with a lot of tabs, look for one that says "Devices" (or something similar). You should see the mouse listed as a device, and connected. If not, you can choose to add a device.

Go through the steps to add the device, when it asks if your device is discoverable press the connect button on the mouse again so it can be found. It should then prompt you for a passkey to sync the devices, this should be labeled on the bottom of the mouse somewhere, typically it is pretty small. It is probably 0000 (four zeros). Once it goes through all those steps, the mouse should show up in the devices and hopefully should work.

Find your way into control panel and check mouse settings I believe the middle mouse button is adjusted there. The details are different with each brand of mouse but this should point you in the right direction.

hold down the FN key and then press one of the F KEYS on top section of the keyboard (which has the wireless signal emblem)

Power and mouse probelm


Hello,

there is something wrong with your battery even though the laptop shows that the battery is fully charged.

You need to get another battery for your laptop as the one you are using presently cannot hold charge, that is, the cell in the battery is weak.

Driver for Dell BT Travel Mouse


If it is a dell mouse, it should automatically work after a few things. Simply locate the button on your mouse to power it on, open your bluetooth settings on your computer and scan. It will then add the drivers as a HID (human interface device). If that fails go to dell.com, search for drivers & downloads under support and search for the drivers & documentation.

reinstal the driver for it and should work or check in start-my computer-right click manage-device manager -action -scan for hardware changes.

When I move my finger along the Touchpad it does not do what it's supposed. The pointer either doesn't move or responds in a delayed fashion. I have a dell studio 1735 laptop. Thanks.


Try updating first the touchpad drivers from the support website www.support.dell.com . If updating wont fix the problem try adjusting the mouse sensitivity to your preferred settings on control panel. Hope this helps

did you shut down firewall and or allow it threw your firewall...Check this===.rick click computer, left click propertys.click device manager.look see if u see any yellow question marks there.if so needs updating..i would try a system restore back to before you did these updates which apparently have affected your mouse..if u did not create restore points then your pretty much gonna have to do a redo of OS. YOU HAVE GOTTEN BAD UPDATES THAT ARE AFFECTING YOUR PC..my advice to everyone is to always first thing make back up disk,make restore points at least twice a week.back up back up people this all saves so much trouble..

I can't operate the mouse. its not working.


Install fresh batteries, turn it on and make sure your bluetooth dongle is installed and active. If you have never paired this mouse with it's receiver, then you will have to put them both into pairing mode, and once paired you should have no problems.

Logitec V270 bluetooth mouse freezes


I found no solution but plenty of similar complaints on the V270 on other than just Vista machines. I will suggest finding another model mouse and check it for Vista compatibility before buying.
I am using a Logitech M-RBB_DEL4 mouse made for Dell, it's bluetooth and works flawlessly on my XP machine along with the keyboard it came with. I will try the one I just ordered on my Vista machine when the BT Keyboard and Mouse arrive.
