SOURCE: i need a power transformer for roland sde -3000

If your transformer is fried then you will have to replace it of course, but if it has only opened the thermal fuse that is tucked into the primary windings then you can replace that and not have to replace the entire transformer. Be sure to use the same temperature and type thermal fuse as the original. You will find the thermal fuse tucked in where the ac power in wires go into the transformer and you may have to clear some plastic out of the way in order to get to it. Be very very carfull that you do not nick or cut or break any of the magnet wire that makes up the windings of the transformer. Good luck.

Iplugged my jvc rx-7010vbk 120v reciever into a 220v outlet, does it have a power supply fuse that would burn out or is the whole power supply shot, what parts do i need to fix it

more than likely the whole board is shot
fuses only control current flow and break when that is exceeded
It is the voltage that does the damage that same as when you put 12 volts through a 6 volt bulb

I have a jvc turntable QL-F320 and the power does not come on. Is there a fuse or something easily replaceable for this?

There will be yes! But if it is as simple as replacing it, I would doubt.

There's a service manual for the model on e-bay at the moment!
If you get stuck.

I have a JR-S501 receiver that cuts out on the sound. The turntable works OK when hooked to another amp. Thanks for the help

So are you saying you have a turntable-only issue with the JVC (guessing about the brand)?

Does the JR-S601 work OK otherwise?

Given its vintage there could be oxidized contacts throughout which would cause crackly sound or total silence.

If it's only an certain source doing it I would suspect a bad audio cable or a switch contact somewhere in the signal path. Typically, it might be a switch you rarely use, like a Tape Monitor or Mute. It's wise to occasionally (with power OFF) manipulate all manual controls throughput their ranges a number of times to wipe oxides from their contacts.

Have you looked in the manual?

Had some power surges and now the unit (XL-MC344) wont turn on. Can't seem to locate a fuse, afraid something more on a component level but have no schematics.

There is a fuse in this unit but it will require a soldering iron to change it. Fuses are rarely the problem. This unit uses a switch mode power supply along with a small transformer for the standby voltage. It is possible that the internal fuse for the standby transformer has opened. The fix for this would be to replace the transformer. This is a common problem with lightning strikes and power surges. WIthout seeing the actual unit, I can't say that this is the problem for sure, but it is likely. Please note that JVC service manuals are not usually available outside of Authorized service centers.

If you can update this with your location, perhaps I can direct you to a local service center.

Looking for jvc old receiver model jr-s501

Did you ever find a JVC JR-S501 receiver? I've got one, with a problem. It will play fine for, sometimes half an hour, or sometimes less, and then a loud "POP" sound in speakers. But then will play fine again. Blows fuses on speakers.

JVC DRMH20 "Loading problem"

voltages on CN5303 should be 12V and 5V. I found 5V to be2,5....3V.Check input of regulator MM1665A(should be 6V). If 6V ok,remove connector CN5303 and check if 5V ok.If so,here is my way to fix this "loading" problem.(create a new regulated 5V circuit)
Replace C5206 with 1000uF/25V,C5306 with 100uF/25V,isolate anode of D5213 from transformer,
wire one and an half turn around transformer, connect one end to ground and the other to the anode of D5213,remove MM1665A and replace with 7805 on appropriated radiator.
Input on 7805 is around 11,8V reason why you need to install it on a radiator.
