    Hi sunilratlam,

thanks for the info. Just got back from the call. Here is what I tried.

I went in and disconected all connectors on all boards. When I repowered the machine I immediately pressed * 2&8* and i saw the service mode first page display then machine went right back into 007-01 code. I then shut off machine and tried again but dont get to the service page it immediately goes int code. Long story short it looks like the buttons are not sticking. I think (and not being a Canon expert I dont know) as if I have a board problem. Issue is which board would lock up machine.

For IR model press star * then press 2 & 8 keys at the same time and then press * again,

(if there are star (*), 2 or 8 key are not working, it's not possible to get enter in the setup mode.

for NP model there are a small push button inside the front door (press only from a thin pin because there are a very small hole to push them) to enter in the setup mode

I am trying to enter into service mode in ir 2016 copiers but it is not showing anything....

Hello, you do not need to enter service mode to reset E007.
This error tells you that there is a problem with the fixing assembly.
You can solve this by replacing the fixing unit or replacing the fixing film with a non OEM one.
In any case, if you are a stranger with repairing copiers you better call a tech.
The cost for repairing is about 200-300 $.

How do i clear error e000007-0000 on a canon ir 2200 photocopier

Fixing film assembly may need to be replaced if error cannot be cleared. Fixing error codes should be reset by a professional only. Fuser assembly must be examined before resetting the E000, E001, E003 and E007 codes. Enter the service mode this way: Press "Additional Function" key, Press "2" and "8" simultaneously, press "Additional Function" key again. Go to COPIER----FUNCTIONS-----CLEAR----ERR. Here your tech can reset the error codes. Then turn machine off & on again.

My canon IR 2018 copier is giving me system error E007

This is a problem with the fuser unit, this is the section that heats up. Once the code comes up you will need a service tech to come out to check your copier. The code can only be reset by entering the service mode. If your lucky and all looks well in there it may just need to be reset with no parts to be replaced.

Canon GP 225 - Error code: E007-01

Hi,
This can be either of three main thing.
1. The machine detects the film out of place and needs to be reset, you do this by activating the service mode. Insert paper clip into hole (inside machine), then * * and service mode shud activate, then click error code and clear all errors.

2. The film is out of place, the fuser needs to be removed and the film manually moved back to the hope position

3. The film is torn and needs to be replaced (LONG WORK AHEAD)[/code]

Good Luck!!
