Re: Error message on the 19" monitor

Its not a compatibility problem in that sense. Its the screen size./refresh rate boot into safe mode if that works is those settings. set then to 1024x768 and 60-75 hertz

Will my Envision 19" monitor,

You will need to set the display resolution and vertical sweep rate on the computer to something the monitor can handle. The monitor works best at 1440 x 900 at 59.8 Hz vertical rate. If your laptop's graphics chip doesn't have this setting (available settings are listed in the Display control panel), then look on page 19 of the monitor's owner's manual to find something that matches a resolution listed in the control panel.

HPL1506 The input signal from pc display foe few seconds and goes off error recommended setting - 1024 x 768 - 60Hz

It can be that your PC video resolution is set higher than 1024 x 768 @60Hz for the monitor to display correctly.

Try this per HP:
HP Business Monitors - What Do I Need to Do When the Message Sync out of Range Displays on the Monitor? ISSUE: What do I need to do when the message Sync out of Range displays on the monitor? When the video card signal exceeds the frequency allowed for the monitor, the following error message may occur: Sync out of Range SOLUTION: To avoid the message, lower the resolution or vertical frequency of the video card. Reboot the system and use the VGA mode to force the video card driver to lower its resolution. Follow these steps.
  1. Shut down and restart the system. For consumer systems such as HP Pavilion desktop PCs, push the Power button once. For commercial systems such as HP business desktop PCs, hold down the Power button for five seconds.
  2. Immediately after seeing the HP/Compaq logo screen, press F8 at system startup to initiate the bootup menu.
  3. Scroll down to highlight Enable VGA Mode , and press ENTER .
  4. After Microsoft Windows completes its bootup process, access the Display Properties and select a desired resolution, which is compatible to the connected monitor.

Sounds like your PC has changed resolution to one not compatible with your monitor. Try to boot in safe mode to change the resolution to more basic. Then reboot.

When cconnectng my ati radeon 7200 VGA output I get the "out of range" message. What is causing this?

It means your monitor is being fed a video signal that it can not process. In other words, you have settings that are not compatible with your monitor. Check your resolution, refresh rate and settings of the like.

Out of range

You can try removing signal cable from pc.If it still says "Out of range" most probably main logic card or interface board as it is known in the lcd monitor could be defective. If on the other hand removing the signal cable gives message No signal ,cable not connected, try connecting monitor to another working known pc.If it still doesn't work the interface board in the monitor is defective.
