You may have a conflict with SP3 and the sound drivers. If the sound driver from this link does not help. I would need to give you instructions on how to un-install SP3

Go here to download the drivers you need:
Dell support website http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/
You will need the service tag. It should be a little sticker on the bottom of the laptop. You will need to select what operating system you are running and download the audio drivers.
