Mscorona53 on dec. 31,2008 posted for a solution for screws for a BabyCraft crib. Did they fiund a solution? I also have a BabayCraft crib seriel #sept. 11,1990 that I need the hardware. Is the company still in business? I have an Address at 816 west North First Stree in Seneca, SC. 29679. Is this a working address? If so, does anyone have a phone number? Is there a way to find and buy the hradware?

I have contacted both Delta and Child Craft and neither one can help me. IT is not their crib or company. I have also contacted the Chamber of Commerce in Seneca, SC and they do not have a company with that name. Here is what the label says:

    BABYCRAFT

    Division of Manufacturers Guaranty Corp.

    816 west North First Street

    P.O. Box 279

    Seneca, SC. 29679-0279

    SERIAL NUMBER

Since it is a baby crib, I would prefer to work with factory parts. I would like to exhaust the possibility of getting factiry parts before I move to improvising. I would like to know if the company still exists and if parts are possibily available or if factory parts from another brand would fit this crib.

At the beginning of my search I referred to another customer who had exactly the same crib that I did. It was mscorona53 on dec. 31,2008. I had hope that someone would contact this person to see if he was able to solve this same problem to his satisfaction and if so, how he did it. Why reinvent the wheel? If he has solved it, could you contact him and find his solution?

Hi,

This company is no longer available.

Regarding the screws, It's advisable to go with the manufacturer. As this company does not exist. Online as well, It's not available for this model.

If you wish there are companies who would offer would offer you screws for crib. But to be honest, go for some other company.Understand the logic.

No two trees are alike, and no crib is fashioned from one single piece of wood. The weather will affect the finish of your product, but this is only part of a natural process for wood. The beauty of solid wood is the grain and marks that come to life with its natural finish. When referring to painted cribs, wood is also known to absorb paint differently; therefore, affecting the outcome of the finished product and so screws would be different. This is important as it's security concern for kids.

Still, if want, do not shop online as you might not get screws for your model. Go to Home Depot. It would cost you around 20 bucks and try to get a screw that would fit your crib.

Any further help, let me know.

Thanks for using "Fixya".

    Hi,

If you wish i can send a comment to that user. It's totally luck if he/she have the same email and it's working and the person is so genuine to reply.

We never keep any phone number or addresses with us. The best we can do for you is that i can try searching that user and add comment regarding the question.

Rest, keep our fingers cross. We cannot guarantee that the reply would be there.

    Thanks.

I think the company doesn sells out the bolts and screws seperatly,so i provided you with two link to search on the type of the crib and below is my suggestion.

https://www.childcraftindustries.com/legacy/assistance/parts.shtml

http://www.thenewparentsguide.com/choosing-a-baby-crib.htm

I am thinking you need the bolts to makeyour crib work. And that might be a chore unless you are very handywith hardware. I would recommendagainst anything but the safest crib for your child. Call the originalowner--see if they can find the bolts/hardware, if not get a completeunit if you can afford it, it may cost more in the short run, but maysave a serious injury or worse. Also, if you go the used route see ifit has been recalled, you can start here:

This type of hardware is very common, most likely 1/4 20 thread screws. measure the length you need with a ruler or tape measure.if you have any screws around the house, try one that fits and you will have a thread size.you can buy everything for this at any home depot, but if you are missing mechanisims( like door rods and mounts) you can buy parts to build them and weld stuff together, but that is another level of expertise. if you know a handyperson it will be much easier than looking for factory parts.. i have done this before.

Tips a safety crib must have:
  • No missing, loose, broken, or improperly-installed screws, brackets, or other hardware on the crib or the mattress support.
  • No much more than 2 3/8 inches between crib slats so a baby's physique cannot fit via the slats.
  • A firm, snug-fitting mattress so a infant cannot get trapped between the mattress and also the side of the crib.
  • No corner posts more than 1/16 of an inch above the finish panels (unless they are more than 16 inches high for a canopy) so a baby can't catch clothing and strangle.
  • No cutout areas on the headboard or foot board so a baby's head cannot get trapped.
  • A mattress assistance that doesn't effortlessly pull apart from the corner posts so a infant can't get trapped in between mattress and crib.
  • No cracked or peeling paint to stop lead poisoning.
  • No splinters or rough edges.

Is storkcraft baby crib 04570-035 being recalled?

Checking the model number at the Storkcraft website is not possible at the moment due to overwhelming traffic. Check the manufacturing date and compare it to the information below to assess whether your crib might be involved. This recall involves Stork Craft drop-side cribs and Stork Craft drop-side cribs with the Fisher- Price logo. This recall does not involve any cribs that do not have a drop-side. This recall does
not involve any cribs with metal rod drop-side hardware2_bing.gif. It involves only those cribs with plastic
trigger and one-hand-system drop-side hardware.
This recall includes Stork Craft cribs with manufacturing and distribution dates between January
1993 and October 2009. This recall also includes Stork Craft cribs with the Fisher-Price logo that
have manufacturing dates between October 1997 and December 2004. The Stork Craft cribs with
the Fisher-Price logo were first sold in the U.S. in July 1998 and in Canada in September 1998.
The cribs were sold in various styles and finishes. The manufacture date, model number, crib
name, country of origin, and the firm’s name, address, and contact information are located on the
