Cahrging problems on Acer Aspire 1642

Hi I have a Acer Aspire 1642 and recently have had problems with what seems to be a lose connection. With it running on mains power the screen flickers and goes to battery power you have to wiggle the connector to get it to go back to mains power. Is this a charger problem or the dc connector on the laptop also where can I find a repair manual for it?
