Need a fuser to resolve the issue.

    Adjust ATS sensor (PL8.1, item 74) .
When the ATS calibration utility fails to run and stops on media feed, wait 10 seconds and press 'cancel' to return the ATS 4 sheet Calibration menu. Select 'Display Results' and scroll to the No Paper KHz sample page. '1=' will have a number displayed. Note the number.
Power off and open the top cover.
Locate the ATS sensor, there is a hole in the cover and in the hole, a white nylon slotted screw head (PL8.1, item 69 ).
Each click is about the 25 KHz. Clockwise will increase the setting, Counter Clockwise will decrease the setting.
Adjust the gear so the setting will be 290 plus/minus 25 KHz. For example, if the No Paper Sample 1=210, three clicks clockwise will bring the setting to 285 the next time you run the ATS calibration utility.
Close the top cover, power on and enter diagnostics. Re-run the ATS 4-Sheet Calibration utility. The ATS should now set up correctly. You must do a power cycle between failed ATS setup

Our HP Laserjet P4015N printer prints slow. It prints, stop, prints, stop and so on. It is working from a print server (Windows 2003) and we have update the driver. It might work for a day, but then it...

If it is a local issue to your printer it is likely that the fuser temperature is set to low. If the fuser temp is set low then it will pause printing in order to maintain a whatever temp it is set at. If you web out to your printer(type in the ip address of your printer) you will find the menu for the printer. Somewhere in there will be the option to increase or decrease the fuser temp. Sometimes it is as obvious as FuserTemp;Higher, HIgh, Normal, Low, Lower. Other times like on the cp2025 color laser i have it is under the extended print modes option, and it is under fusing with the options of; less fusing (-2), less fusing (-1), normal, more fusing(+1), more fusing (+2). however the option is presented on your printer you will want to increase the fuser temp. do it incrementally and see what works best from you. If this does not solve the problem there may be a problem with the spooler dropping packets from your print server. Hope this helps.

When I print a one page document, tray 1 prints on multiple papers at a time. 1 page prints on 5 pages.

If you don't have a manual, you can find one here

My guess is either on the printer or the driver. Skimming the manual, it doesn't seem that you can set the default number of pages printed per sent print job on the printer, but that is something I would look into. This is a nice office printer, perhaps the printer is set to print multiple copies of everything it is sent. You could determine if it is the printer or driver/computer by printing to it from another computer.

If it is the computer, go into the control panel and select the properties for this printer. In there, check if the number of copies is improperly set to 5. This would happen for every print job sent from this system.

Does it print 5 copies of documents sent from different programs (i.e. Web Page, Word, Excel)? Quite possibly, one time you set it to print 5 copies and that application retained that as default. In that application, rather than clicking "print" click "printer setup" and look through the settings to see if it is requesting multiple copies.

I am 95% sure one of these three solutions will solve your problem.

Follow these steps to change print settings, and then print in Mac OS X 10.6. Step one: Select your product

  2. Select your product from the Printer: drop-down list.
Step two: Change print settings
  1. Type the number of copies to print in the Copies text box.
  2. If you want to print multiple copies, select the Collated check box to print the pages of each copy in order.
  3. Select the pages of the print job that you want to print. To print all pages, select All. To print a specific range of pages only, type the page number that begins the page range in the From text box. Then, type the page number that ends the page range in the To text box.
  4. Select the size and type of paper loaded in the product from the Paper Size drop-down list.

  1. After the Orientation section, click the drop-down, and then select Paper Type/Quality . NOTE: This drop-down usually defaults to the program specific drop-down. In this example, the drop-down is the TextEdit drop-down. Figure 12: Select Paper Type/Qualityc02458421.jpg

MY printer stopped working from on day to the next...the problem is when I print out a photo from IPhoto or Preview on my IMac OSX10.4.11 it starts with a large margin which doesn't allow for the complete...

Hello

Large photos are printed differently than regular photos.

Photos that have large resolutions or are best when printed in larger sizes are sometimes printed on multiple pages. Printing the photo on two or more pages requires setting up the printing options so that the printer recognizes how the photo should print and which areas to stop printing on each page.

Open the photo in iphoto

Select "File" and scroll down the list until reaching "Print". Click on "Print" and wait for the printing set up options. Some programs require selecting "Set up" or "Print set up" instead of "Print." Make sure the set up options are brought up according to the program.

Select "Time Imageable Table" or similar options in the program. If there is not an option with a similar title, look over the various titles and any pictures that come with the titles and see if the pictures show multiple pages or only a single page. Click on the options that allow printing one photo on multiple pages.

Select overlap options, which give margins so that connecting the pages forms the picture. Overlap around 1/2 inch or so.

Print the photo. The number of pages should match the set up options selected under the imageable table.

6122 deskjet prints test page fine but only prints one line on the paper for all other print jobs.. what is wrong?

Is it almost a solid line? This may be an application problem. Are you printing text?

I have seen this in two flavors:

1) If there are switch settings for this printer you want to make sure that the printer is set for CR/LF ( Carrier Return/Line Feed). This tells the printer to Return the printhead to the start of the line and the LF command tells the printer to step up the page.

2) If you are connected serially, the parity bit may be set incorrectly. Depending on the parity, the bit could printer if set for even parity but the sending PC is set to EVEN parity can cause a LF command to get ignored and the symptom is the lines print on top of the first line.
