SOURCE: Year old desktop usb ports went dead. Are powered

If multiple USB ports don't work at the same time, the problem could be the USB device you are using or the USB controller. If the controler, go into Device Manager and see if any problems (? marks). If no problems, right-click on the USB Controller and update the driver. If ? mark, contact FixYa again for further help. Good luck.

It should not matter as long as the antenna is not surrounded by metal.

What type of device did you use to connect the two monitors to the computer? Is there a switch box to select which monitor you want to see?

SOURCE: aspire m347og keeps showing no signal when i turn it on

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking". When the desktop comes up go to the link below and download the correct vga driver and install it:

SOURCE: Acer am3470g turns off unexpectantly

Bring it back where you bought it. My first idea is an overheating problem from power supply or CPU.

I purchased an Acer Aspire AM3470G-UW10P.Hooked it up and it worked fine .Next morning the power light is on but the computer will not wake up.

remove it from power source, open up the casing and you will see a jumper with CLR CMOS.remove the jumper and replace it on the next terminal.wait a few seconds and return it to the normal position you found the jumper on.
power up your machine, you will have 2 reset the date and time after though.

good luck

I bought a Acer Aspire Am3470g-uw10p it came with no re-install Cd's, Is there anyway to restore this computer without using a CD.

You need to get a recovery CD for your model laptop from Acer.
Download the recovery CD and device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require that matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

How do I get a manual

Most of the time the fastest way is to log on to the manufacturers website. Most manufacturers have places on their sites to download software and documentation. Next you can query search engines such as ask.com. Also FixYa.com as well as any number of sites with tech chatrooms and forums.

Acer Aspire Am3470g case removal

I also have an Acer Aspire AM-3470G & just swapped DVD drives trying to troubleshoot a problem. Remove the one side panel with the finger tab that gives you access to the system board/HD's, etc. No need to remove the opposite side panel. With the panel off, there are 3 black plastic tabs holding the front cover on. Release them so that the front panel pivots to the opposite side which also has 3 black tabs. Those tabs will release themselves as you pivot the front cover. You may need a bit of force to pivot the cover so be careful not damage the plastic tabs. You'll now have complete access to the DVD tray area. The DVD is held in by 2 exposed screws, there are none on the opposite side of the drive. Unscrew them, disconnect the power & SATA connectors & slide out the drive. If you replace the DVD drive, test the new one before you reassemble all the covers to verify everything works.
