Hi. this F-7 code is referring to a Shorted Clear/Off Key due to membrane switch, control or connector. unfortunately, this is an integrated control assembly and, the entire control board must be replaced in this case.

Replacing the control(ERC,EOC) will fix this issue.

I have a GE Profile slide in range with the F7 code. Will the business card work between ribbon cable and kep pad?

No, this is not an appropriate way to solve this issue. You will need to replace the ERC, in this case. One, or more of the function buttons are stuck. This has caused a short in the control. Replacing the ERC, will correct the issue properly.

I have a ge profile oven and F7 is appearing where the degrees usually appear. Nothing will work on the oven

You have a stuck keypad. You can try pushing every pad several times at random to try and clear it. If that does not work, you have to replace the keypad control.

Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Replace the ERC there are ten screws 3 on each side and 4 on the control leave the hex screws alone all you need is a phillip screwdriver.
REMEMBER TO SHUT OFF THE POWER FIRST lift and fold out the control panel remove the ribbon cable and remove the four screws that hold the control board . replace control panel in reverse order.

Good Luck!!
